CHALET GROUSE HAS BECOME AVAILABLE 12-19 MARCH 2023.

Grouse is a luxury chalet in the unspoilt Swiss farming village of Ayer in the Val d'Anniviers. Think Heidie and Narnia. Ten minutes drive from the ski resorts of St Luc, Grimentz or Zinal. Ideal for a summer or winter holiday.

Comfort is important to the owner and this is reflected in numerous personal touches.

The lower floor has 3 en-suite bedrooms : two twin rooms and one double. French windows in one of the twin rooms and the double open onto the hillside (downhill, west facing). There is copious cupboard space in each bedroom. A washing machine, drying machine, drying rack, iron and ironing board are available. A sofa bed can be used to sleep up to 12 if required. A baby's cot can be provided on request.

The middle floor has a large open plan sitting area, dining area and kitchen with south and west facing balconies. The south balcony is wide enough to accommodate a circular table suitable for up to 12. The sitting area has two huge comfortable sofas, a window seat, a coffee table, TV (with DVD) and wood burning stove (wood available locally). The dining area has a circular table that can take up to 10 people. The entrance hall exits uphill to the road and parking. There are boot dryers that can take up to 6 pairs of boots and sufficient shelving for goggles, gloves ect . A WC is accessed from the middle floor entrance hall.

The upper accommodate four: a double bedroom with basin, a twin room and bathroom. The top floor has its own covered balcony accessible from both bedrooms. External access to the top floor entrance hall is at road level, therefore suitable for those who might find steps difficult. There are boot dryers that can take up to 4 pairs of boots and sufficient shelving for goggles, gloves ect and a ski rack outside by the entrance

Explore the village of Ayer; an old farming community with a tumble of raccards perched improbably on their stone pillars.

In summer hiking, cycling, paragliding, bungee jumping, canyoning, tennis, aerial adventure, mountaineering and much else.

In winter 3 ski resorts of valley only 10 minutes away, excellent uncrowded skiing for every ability range.

The chalet itself is excellently appointed with three bedrooms en suite, fabulously comfortable sofas to sink into and a good selection of books, games and wide-screen TV with DVDs. Sofa bed enables 12 to stay.

Accommodates 10. Access to the top floor is at road level and will therefore be suitable for those who might find steps difficult.

There is parking for cars and easy access from the road. The balconies provide ideal places for evening drinks, admiring the stunning views. There is a large table to eat outside outside on the sheltered terrace.

“Very comfortable and luxurious chalet”

The chalet was very clean and well prepared, and we enjoyed our stay very much. Great location in the very enjoyable Val d'Annivier. Nice surroundings for walks / hikes in the summer months.
