Description
Located on the hillside, in the hamlet of Biolley, the cottage enjoys an unobstructed view of the Alps and the villages below. This cottage was completely renovated in 2013 on the basis of an old barn-stable. With every comfort, this chalet is located 10 minutes drive from the tourist resort of Champex and Orsières, and 18 minutes from La Fouly. The location is ideal for hiking and tourism. The old barn-stable of 1780 has a stone base topped with a traditional construction in beams with a gallery for drying hay and a roof with two sides. The holiday home transformation integrates within existing walls on a floor area of 16 m2 on 3 levels for the living area. An underground extension houses the equipment room. The intervention on the outside was limited to the creation of new openings, renovations and security of the gallery and a layout of the entrance area. The position of the existing entry has been maintained, it gives access to the ground, in the kitchen / living room where you can admire a beautiful view through the large opening created in the stone wall. Upstairs is the master bedroom with access to the gallery. The bathroom and the children's room are fitted to the lower level, the old cattle gate is replaced by a glass door providing natural light. The 3 levels are isolated inside the existing walls and completely covered with larch blades. Insulating glass, the interior insulation work and technical equipment provide the necessary comfort to holiday accommodation.
