Description
The attention to detail and care is apparent the moment you step through the large antique double front doors onto the beautiful hand made tiles from Vietnam. Your attention will of course be first drawn through the sitting area and onto the garden and the promise of the ocean beyond. You will not be disappointed as each step into this haven of calm elegance and style the huge pool on a lower terraced deck is revealed with the lawn leading to the beach.
A teak staircase winds it way upstairs past a vast window more suited to a grand house of old onto the bedroom landing. Each bedroom is different and all bathrooms are delightful. 4 poster beds; fitted mosquito nets; air con; comfortable seating; interesting curios and artwork. A children’s bunk room cleverly has a larger bottom bed for a nanny. The master suite has an adjoining room with twin beds for smaller children.
Hidden amongst the tropical planting lies the water slide (use at own risk) snaking it’s way into a plunge pool that rather geniously is separated from the main pool to allow kids to splash around whilst the less frantic can relax in calm waters. A large terrace offers ample tanning spots.
The garden suite rests quietly by the pool and looks out across the lawn, on which many a SL vs the rest of the world cricket match is had, towards the yoga sala that is large enough for all.
The chef is excellent and all food will tickle the taste buds.
In all, this is a fabulous house that exudes wonderful energy and promises a fun time for all family and friends.
