Gindabara: Means 'Place of Laughter' it is quiet and peaceful lodge on a one acre fully fenced block at Morwong Beach on beautiful Coochiemudlo Island in Moreton Bay just 40 mins from Brisbane. We cater for groups of 14 - 20+ people who want to be together but also need to enjoy their own space when required. Ideal for family celebrations, seminars and same interest groups. A place to enjoy the simple things in life. Walk along the natural sandy bush beaches, Kayak through the mangroves, Cycle through the streets of individual island houses. Swim or fish in the bay or go birdwatching in the bush. Coochiemudlo Island has it all for groups who want to relax soak up the sun and the sounds of nature. You will love it.

You and your guests have sole use of Gindabara. I live on the opposite side of the island and always on hand should you need anything. Our guests enjoy the freedom of having Gindabara to them selves while here.

“Great for families”

Im writing this on behalf of my family who booked this accommodation for my 60th birthday surprise. When we arrived I was in total ore, what an amazing place, wouldve been nice tho if the lawns were done! We set about checking each unit, ensuring all was in working order etc. The dining and kitchen both lovely and immaculately clean. Each unti tho needed a good going over, the little cottage had windows that didnt shut, the last unit had bugs and ants crawling out of the air con, and in this unit only 1 air con control we searched for the 2nd and couldnt find it. We tried to turn on the aircon manually but it didnt work. We just didnt bother about it as we were excited to start our family celebrations. After a great 4 days we travelled home, what a wonderful time and a great place to spend time together, however, after waiting 4 weeks for our refund we were billed for the missing remote for the air con in unit 4, $90 for a $20 remote you can buy online. This has upset both my husband and I and feel it has left a bitter taste with us now, wouldnt go back there at all. Perhaps this place needs an inventory of their things for guest to go through. We didnt complain about the lawns nor the dirty untis, we just enjoyed the place. Such a shame after a lovely stay. Shant be recommending this place, sorry.
