Description

Apartment Joseph is a 3 double bedroom apartment with WiFi in the village of La Chapelle D'Abondance and part of the Florimontagne development. It is approximately 300m from the Cret Beni slopes and 1km to the Panthiaz lift with direct access to the Portes du Soleil and its 650km of skiing. There are several excellent restaurants and bars within walking distance and a village supermarket close by. A larger supermarket, Intermarche, is about 3km away. The apartment has a wood burning stove for those cosy nights in by the fire after a hard days skiing. The lounge, dining and kitchen area is open plan and the kitchen has all modern equipment including a microwave and dishwasher. There is also a washing machine. The television can receive English channels and has a DVD player. There is a large terrace which has the benefit of the sun from early morning until early evening. Each of the bedrooms have Austrian twin beds which can be used as 2 single beds or as 1 king size bed. The apartment is on the second floor with wonderful views of the Cret Beni slopes and is accessible by lift. We provide bed linen and small hand towels but not bath towels.

The larger resort of Chatel is about 5km away and Lake Geneva, about 30km. When not skiing the resorts of Montreux and Evian les Bain are about 40 mins drive away. In the summer you can visit the local lakes or the beaches down by lake Geneva. Chatel also boasts a swimming pool with indoor and outdoor pools, which is open in the winter and summer.

“Fantastic holiday - we were so sad to leave.”

We had a lovely stay at this apartment. We took our four children and they couldn't have been happier with this home from home. The children couldn't wait to get out skiing and the location of the apartment meant we were out on the slopes within five minutes - once hats, gloves, helmets, boots and scarves had been located! The slopes of Cret Beni were perfect for us. Close enough so we could come home for lunch if we wanted, but challenging enough for the kids to get practise on some steeper slopes. After a hard days skiing it was lovely to be able to have home-cooked dinners in front of the fire at the apartment. But there is ample choice of lovely bars and restaurants as well. Despite travelling with four children the apartment still felt roomy and it was great to put the kids to bed and be able to relax with a glass of vino in the lounge! The selection of games and DVDs was great too!
