Description

The Barn is one of our three properties, which is 17th century grade II listed and sleeps up to 6 (1 double, 2 twins), the others are :

The Farmhouse 17th century grade II listed, also sleeps 6,

The Granary, which is curtelage listed, sleeps 6.

ALL CAN BE RENTED TOGETHER OR SEPARATELY AS REQUIRED.

They are located centrally in the village, down a small quiet lane just 5 minutes walk to the pubs and eateries and 10 minutes walk to the beach.

Possibly the best properties and location within the village of Croyde .

The Barn is presented to a very high standard (sleeps 6).

The kitchen includes: range cooker, granite work tops, SMART TV, washing machine, tumble dryer, american style fridge and separate under counter freezer, microwave and dining table that seats 6-8 people. All kitchen utensils that a good cook would require.

Downstairs cloakroom.

The comfortable beamed living room includes, 3 leather sofas, solid oak flooring, central heating, and open log fire. Wi-fi, SMART TV and bookcase full of books to curl up in front of the open fire are all supplied.

The master bedroom with double bed and en-suite shower room has a delightful view over the garden. Plenty of wardrobe space (hangers supplied). All bed linen, bath and hand towels supplied.

The second bedroom has twin beds again with an en-suite shower room and plenty of wardrobe and cupboard space, and again with a delightful view over the garden. All bed linen, bath and hand towels supplied.

The third bedroom also has twin beds and plenty of wardrobe and cupboard space. The view is over the garden. All bed linen, bath and hand towels supplied.

The modern family bathroom has bath facilities with shower above (all showers in this cottage are power showers).

Beautiful large sheltered garden with BBQ and garden furniture for 6 people with lovely views.

Private secluded courtyard parking for 2 cars for this cottage.

Our local housekeeper provides 24 hour emergency cover.

On your arrival you will find your Welcome Pack.

For the kitchen we supply dishwasher and laundry tablets, linen tea-towels and hand towel.

Please bring your own beach towels (not supplied with the cottage).

We are always delighted to welcome overseas visitors to our properties and over the last 4 years we have had the pleasure of guests from USA, Germany, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Shanghai, Switzerland, Belgium, Singapore and Denmark. So if you are thinking of spending some time in Devon why not come and stay at one of our properties in Croyde.

Weekend and mid week breaks available on request outside of peak seasons.

“Home from home in Croyde”

Very clean, well equipped home in perfect location. Worked well for three couples on our walking break. Communication was excellent.

An excellent place to stay, everything you need all in one place. Cosy and comfortable, sitting in front of the open fire, what more could you want. Close to the beach, local shop and pub/restaurant. Will certainly be back

“Perfection in Croyde”

If you are looking for a property to stay in whilst in Croyde this is the place. I had no idea what to expect with this property as the photos of the property look nice but they do not do this place justice! The bedrooms are excellently sized and the en-suite are lovely. Showers were powerful and warm. The only slight suggestion for improvement would be to mount the shower, that’s over the bath, to the wall and put up some tiles and a glass screen. The kitchen area is phenomenal and is the real heart of this holiday home. The living room has a lovely log burning fire which wood was provided for and gave a real cosy feel in the evening. The garden was a real sun trap most of the day and was an excellent size. There was also a BBQ that could be used. The house is right in the centre of Croyde with restaurants and local shops about 30 seconds walk away. The beach is about a 10 minutes walk away but is a lovely 10 minute walk. The house comes with WIFI and very surprisingly a full Sky TV package as well. This house can actually be rented with another for larger groups as well with a door that connects the two properties internally. I can’t recommend this place more highly. Absolutely gorgeous in every way and real made the holiday.

“Perfect cottage in a perfect location.”

The Barn is a very spacious cottage ideal for a family holiday. It is equipped with everything you are likely to need and is spotlessly clean. The garden has views of the hills in the background and is a perfect place to relax and enjoy a barbecue on summer evenings. For us, the location could not be better with several nice pubs serving food, coffee shops, post office and shop for the basics if you should run out. It was such a bonus to be within walking distance of all the above and the beach is a few minutes walk away. We hardly used the car, except to do a a big shop at the Tesco’s in Braunton. The North Devon coastline is stunning and the Baggy Point walk is a must. We had a wonderful holiday and did not want to go home.

“A beautiful cottage in a beautiful village”

The barn is truly a wonderful place to stay. From the moment we walked in the barn was so welcoming and beautiful. A massive kitchen with a lovely dining table in the center with two extra lounge chairs for relaxing. A great place for the family to gather when we were cooking. The living room was extremely comfortable and has plenty of space with 3 double sofas. Full access to all sky channels keeping the boys happy when the footy was on. Upstairs the bedrooms were beautiful, very spacious and well laid out. The double and one of the twins had an en-suite, the showers were incredible! The additional twin did not but the main bathroom was more than enough. Additional toilet downstairs also. The whole place was well equipped, very clean and tidy. Parking was great, with loads of room. The lane was a little tight getting down to the cottage but as long as you drove slowly and carefully there was no issue at all. Only a short walk (2 minutes max) to the village center with pubs and restaurants, Croyde Bay was also very close, just a short walk (10 minutes) along the country lane bring you out onto the stunning beach. Overall a wonderful stay and I would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Croyde.
