Serene Villa Ilaria is nestled in the heart of Puglia's incredibly fertile Val di Cupa, a valley once referred to as the Tivoli Gardens of Lecce and now known as the Florence of the South. Embedded in the wonderful aromatic foliage of the Pugliese countryside, Villa Ilaria is 8 mins from the exquisite historical Baroque City of Lecce and a mere 20 minutes from the sandy beaches along the pristine waters of the Adriatic and Ionian Seas. The villa itself, is a bespoke home, using local finite stone and marble from historical quarries throughout. With its impressive 16th Century vaulted ceilings, walls in Pietra Leccese, white stone floors from a family quarry in Ostuni and large fireplace in the central drawing room, Villa Ilaria is a wonderful retreat for groups of Friends, Family and Lovers, all year round. Set in two acres of land, the villa offers an eclectic flavour of living, consisting of a Drawing Room, Mezzanine Library, Large Sitting Room, Master Bedroom En-suite with jacuzzi bathtub, 4 Double Bedrooms, 4 En-suite, a Games Room, Laundry room, Cloakroom. The a large open Kitchen leads onto the perfect terrazzo for alfresco dining for ten and a Stone BBQ area leads to the 14 x 9 meter swimming pool and outdoor cascade waterfall, set amidst the private gardens. A small vegetable garden is available for you to spice up your Italian culinary endeavours and we hope to rescue and plant some ancient olive trees, in the near future. There is an alarm system in place for your comfort and shaded parking for your automobile.
