Quiet and peaceful and yet only 5 minutes walk from the main central, traffic free and strictly pedestrian zones. The house has easy access to all amenities such as the fruit and veg local market, modern shops and malls for bargain hunting, excellent restaurants and bistros for eating out, colourful night life, museums,galleries all of which is steeped in 8 000 years of history!
In the outskirts of Plovdiv ,right into the pine forests of Rodopa mountain just 20-30 min drive one could visit second to none swimming pools, restaurant areas and explore horse riding,mountain hiking.For cultural tourism lovers nothing compares to Plovdiv in the vicinity of which there are a number of unique historical and cultural sites of Thracian times leading more than 8000 years back.
So there is plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay. In general Plovdiv, the oldest city in Europe is a boredom free zone!

It is equipped with all the amenities to make every visitor &guest;s stay comfortable and cosy : stylish furniture, lights, bathrooms and toilets for each floor, kitchen area with a modern design, inner stairs, hard wood flooring,log fire place etc.

Magnificent and secluded courtyard with plenty of greenery,colourful flowers ,15 year old grapevine with incredibly sweet grapes, that spreads thick shade on part of the courtyard and plenty of sun on the rest of it as it is on the garden terrace where during the hot summer days you could sunbathe and have cold drinks relaxing in a chair under the huge umbrella.Inflatable pool is at hand in case kids are to come. And in the evenings if you are not going out , then it is time for a romantic al fresco dinner under the grapevine.

“A traditional house in the centre of the old town. ”
We really enjoyed our stay at Philipopolis House and despite temperatures falling well below freezing outside we remained warm and cozy inside. The shower was powerful and there was always lots of hot water. One night we visited a local restaurant recommended by Charley ( a good variety of dishes and yummy pizza) but most of the time we were happy to stay in and self cater. The wifi was reliable with a good signal throughout the house. Although the cold weather meant that we didn't use the outside areas I'm sure the large terrace and garden are lovely in the warmer months. Our stay was enhanced by the warm welcome given to us by Charley. He was an excellent host full of useful information and local knowledge. He was even kind enough to collect us from the bus station and help us with our bags - thank you Charley.
