Awake at sunrise, after a peaceful nights sleep, enjoying hot coffee and a light breakfast before you head into the wilds with your Expert Field Guide and Tracker to explore a world of nature that only an African Safari can expose you to.
Your morning and late afternoon (into the evening) drives take advantage of prime viewing and game movement hours, giving you the very best of experiences.
Toro River Lodges is a private game reserve within the Greater Makakali and Pidwa Private Game Reserve, located in the Kruger area of the Lowveld of South Africa, allowing us to tailor make your very own safari. We are not confirmed to main roads. Our guides are able to navigate through dense bush, while our trackers will go in on foot to following the tracks of animals. With a limited number of vehicles on each property, and strict criteria governing sightings, guests are able to spend extended periods of time watching wildlife in its natural habitat.
