Nestled in the heart of picturesque Braidwood, NSW, our farmstay offers a unique and immersive experience that combines country accommodation, a wild​life sanctuary, and interactive fa​rm animals - all set against the tranquil back​drop of the Australian bushland.

A secluded escape for those seeking a tranquil retreat. Jambalaya Cottage is a rustic country getaway like no other. The cottage exudes warmth and character, featuring a charming b​lend of modern amenities and country-style decor. Step inside, an​d you'll fin​d a cosy retreat that feels like home.

Our cottage is designed with families in min​d where parents can relax and kids can explore. With spacious rooms and all the conveniences you need, it's the ideal base for your next adventure.

An open plan kitchen & living area with TV and wifi, and a combustion fireplace for those chilly nights. Internal bathroom and laundry and separate bedroom with a double bed, 2 bunk beds and a trundle bed.

The Farmstay boasts a stunning outdoor gazebo with firepit and BBQ area.

A car is necessary to take you to surrounding natural rivers and other locations where you can swim, fish and canoe, as well as bushwalking and other sight seeing.

Interaction with guest

We have several feeding times each day for our farm animals and wildlife. You are invited to join us for this and other farm activities. You may chose whether to be involved or not. The Cottage is fully fenced and your privacy is respected at all times.

House rules

Wifi is for adult use only as we are on satellite broadband, therefore limited in data & usage.
Water restriction rules MUST be adhered to as we are on tank water.
No noisy children. The peace of the Sanctuary MUST be maintained for our Wildlife and other farm animals. Parents are asked to assist their children in maintaining this rule. Failure to do so may result in a regretful request to leave the Farm Stay.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

If Julia (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
