About the Property.
This charming Finca has been thoughtfully restored to maintain the integrity of its structure and properly modernized on the way to its transformation from a country house into a year-round villa for guests.
After a complete renovation phase, where all of the original charm and architectural features were strictly maintained, the interiors have recently been meticulously upgraded to the highest standards. Each living space has been elegantly appointed, combining traditional and contemporary elements. The artwork has been selected directly from the owner’s private collection, including some wonderful contemporary art pieces.
The home is surrounded by 5 hectares of the most beautiful Mediterranean landscaping (full of olive groves, palm & almond trees, cactuses, flowers & Bougainville), as well as a private woodland of maritime pines, from which it is possible to admire the sea. The garden comes with several shaded areas perfect for relaxing during the hot summer days, a private pool and a fully equipped poolside bar.
The property has been within the family of the current owners since generations and is actually the oldest Finca in the area. It is in fact protected by the city municipality with a “certificado de antiguidad” (certificate of ancientness). The whole property also lies within the borders of the “Serra de Tramuntana” (Mallorca’s mountain range), which has been listed as a World Heritage site by UNESCO in recent years.
The Layout.
The home spreads over approx. 450 square meters of living space (on 2 floors) and comes with a total of 6 bedrooms and 6 ½ bathrooms to comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests. The Property is composed of two main buildings (facing each other), that are joined by a smaller back building in the middle.
- The middle building, which connects the two main buildings, comes with a fully equipped kitchen as well as a laundry room (with washer and dryer). The kitchen has been entirely renovated in early 2017 and features a large wooden table (seating up to 12 guests).
- A beautiful courtyard, entirely made with the local stone, separates the two main buildings. On the ground Floor, the first building features a Living room with fireplace (directly connected to the courtyard’s dining area), one King bedroom with en-suite bathroom (with tub & shower) and a second kitchen directly connected to a large terrace (fully furnished with a dining table, seating up to 14 people). While on the second Floor there is an additional King bedroom with en-suite bathroom (with shower).
- The second building features an entrance hall that leads to one King bedroom with en-suite bathroom (with shower) to the right and a TV room (directly connected to the main kitchen) to the left. There is also a powder room.
On the first floor, there is one King bedroom with a bathroom attached (with shower) and two bedrooms with two twin beds each (that can be joined to form a King size upon demand), with two additional bathrooms attached (with shower).
All of the bedrooms as well as the kitchen/dining area are air conditioned.
The Pool.
The property’s private pool (overflow style, salt water) has been completed in early 2017, with a beautiful Italian mosaic tile. It comes with a full set of comfortable sun loungers and umbrellas, a gazebo as well as a fabulous poolside bar.
Being exposed to the sun practically all day, the pool water usually reaches ideally warm temperatures. The pool is 10 meters long x 5 meters wide (33 x 16.5 ft).
The Location.
The property is located just about 2.7 km (1.7 miles) away from the exclusive Port D’Andratx, which is often considered as the nicest village in Mallorca and one of the prettiest harbor in the whole Mediterranean. To reach it from the villa, it only takes 3 to 4 minutes by car and about 20 minutes on foot. The village boasts several great restaurants, shops, supermarkets, watersports, yacht rental as well as a vibrant nightlife.
