This is a stunning, romantic room in a funky house, named after magical memories of Africa. Casual-Chic African decor, luxurious wooden floors, an indulgent bathroom with a large sunken bath & rain shower. Fold away doors open onto the deck with beautiful sea & garden views over looking the always warm Indian Ocean where dolphins are frequently spotted surfing the waves. The rest of the house is yours for chilling & even ...working.

It is a residential beach home with an edge, a character home that brings a bit more life and fun to the old.

The home has a family history of travelers who enjoy returning the hospitality to others traveling through Africa leading back to the 1970’s

So if you'd like to experience The dolphin coast & Kwazulu Natal the way we do & stay in one of our uniquely designed & decorated rooms and “Feel Africa” you've come to the right place.

Ballito is surrounded by sandy beaches and located just 35 minutes from Durban and only 20 minutes from Umhlanga and King Shaka International airport. All corners of the town are easily accessed by walking, Tuk Tuk, Uber /taxi or bike. We're only 800 m from the beach, 900 m from the nearest shops and restaurants, and 1.2 km from the main shopping centers. Using Jakita’s as a base, you can easily explore world famous heritage sites, visit game farms, or experience the rural or transitional cultures of the KZN North Coast and Zululand. So allow us to show you where to go and what to see so that we can help you enjoy a hassle free stay on the Natal North Coast..

Interaction with guest

Demi or Katrina will always be on hand to welcome guests, and to help out with any info, suggestions, or arrangements. We go with your flow and will attempt to adapt breakfast to your taste buds or dietary requirements where possible. Wheat & gluten free, non-dairy, or good old-fashioned bacon & eggs. We love to learn & will try anything new. Guests are served breakfast on the deck and can relax in any of the 3 different lounge areas. The garden and pool are always welcoming in these sub-tropical climates, & braai (BBQ) facilities are available. We provide you with your own set of keys & remotes so you can come and go as you please. We are happy to assist with route planning and suggestions as where to go from here, what to see.
