Originally built as the impressive retirement home of Captain Wright in 1897, Captains View in Wallasey enjoys some of the best views of Liverpool's waterfront and the River Mersey. It's a four star property offering quality and luxury. It sleeps up to five people, is within easy reach of Liverpool, Chester and North Wales and close to clean, award-winning beaches.
Captains View is reached through your own private door and flight of stairs, all rooms have central heating and lead off a large spacious central hall. The spacious lounge with stunning river views has a 42-inch TV, DVD player/recorder along with a selection of DVDs for all ages, a corner leather suite and a modern electric fire
If you enter- wirralcam egremont view- in to your search engine you will be taken to a camera which is situated on Captains View balcony. It gives a live view of the River Mersey from your apartment.

Response from the owner Hi, thank you for the positive comments, much appreciated. Regarding the 2 negative ones. As you can appreciate - sometimes things go wrong. I will always do my best to repair or replace anything that is broken or damaged as soon as I know about it. You did inform me about the shower and on numerous occasions I asked if I could go up and see what the problem was. You refused saying that it wasn't a problem and that you could manage. I had to wait for you to leave so that I could investigate. It turns out that the shower head was blocked, which leads to a back pressure and therefore automatically cuts out. I have replaced this and all visitors, since your visit, have not had a problem. As for the driveway - yes it is quite steep and then there are 13 steps up to the apartment - normal internal steps. However the "fantastic" views which you reported are due to the elevated position of the apartment. Regards, Marilyn

“A relaxing week”
A friendly welcome to a large, great apartment with views across the Mersey river from the master bedroom, or the large picture window in the lounge or even sit on the balcony. which enables you to watch the ships go by or the people on the promenade below. An ideal base to explore Liverpool using the nearby ferry, bus or train servicesor the Mersey tunnel. Alternatively discover the surrounding areaa of the Wirral, Chester, Southport, etc.
