1950’s and 1960’s true top European design furniture and furnishing, unique works of art and craft, a great atmosphere mixed with the comfort and convenience of a very quiet, clean, close-to-everything hideaway located in the very heart of the historical center of Bologna – this is Casa Arienti, our beautiful 2-room apartment with a special taste added to it.
Thoroughly renovated, furnished and decorated with works by some of the most worldwide-renowned 1900’s architects and designers – Luigi Caccia Dominioni’s 1963 enameled iron beds and table lamp, Marco Zanuso’s wardrobes, Dino Gavina’s table and chairs, Giulio Manzoni’s sofabed, Marcel Breuer’s and Robert Mallet-Stevens chairs – together with some 1700’s and 1800’s antiques, tapestries, contemporary paintings and original Faience pieces, Casa Arienti can comfortably accommodate up to 5 guests in a very cozy bedroom (two single beds that can be put together to make a double + 1 single), a sitting/dining room (1 double sofa bed or 2 singles), a kitchen, a bathroom, a small hallway and a very nice covered terrace, the perfect spot for an alfresco dinner, a breakfast or a cocktail. Beds are 2 x 0.90 mts. with high-quality frames, mattresses and linen. All windows and the terrace overlook a quiet, small private garden, the perfect touch of green in the midst of the typical red brick landscape of Bologna, a Medieval and still visible alley bordering. Peace and quiet are 100% granted.
All the main, most modern appliances are provided – washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, cooking range/oven, microwave, plenty of kitchen tools, stereo, TV/DVD, Wi-Fi internet connection, more. The bathroom features a shower, towels and linen are provided and included in the price. The apartment is air conditioned.
Casa Arienti is located is friendly, quiet, safe neighbourhood that is part of the most elegant, charming section of the center and virtually traffic-free, the largest park in town (Giardini Margherita) at a stone’s throw. A large guarded parking lot can be found about 300 mts. from the house (spots can be reserved online) whereas many stores, groceries, restaurants and pubs are just around the corner. The closest bus stop is only about 150 mts, the train station can be reached in minutes while the main theatres, museums, monuments and the most renowned stores and restaurants are all walking distance.

While the kitchen appliances have been replaced since, we can aassure that what you found in a drawer was just lint from the inside lining, not hair (= unless if someone stored a wig, hair in a drawer would be a very odd finding!). Sorry if you did not find the apartment clean to your standards, but nobody ever complained and neither did you, or we would have sent the maid immediately. All in all, we can assure our future guests that our house is one of the most comfortable, cleanest in town. Please check the other reviews to make sure. Ciao!
