"Bahama Blue cottage" - (AVAILABLE SEPT 1, 2018) lovely 1005 sq. ft. (2bd 1bth) totally renovated, ideal for single or couple. Home is located in a rural area and easy reach of lakes for fishing/boating. Covered carport & screened in porch. 2bd (queen size beds), 1bth, fully equipped kitchen, all linens, pots/pan & appliances. Priced just right!! Only 1.5 miles from Lake Placid (town of murals). Easy drive to Disney (1.5 hrs), Busch Gardens, Tampa, Sarasota, Ft. Lauderdale, etc. near lakes for fishing, boating, 11 miles from Sebring races. On a quiet street..Wifi, Security System, all pots/pans/linens, Smart TV, radio/cd player, washer/dryer, and all appliances. NO PETS PLEASE.

You will need a vehicle. The home is 1 hour 50 minutes from Disney, 1hr 45 minutes from Ft. Lauderdale, less than 2 hours from Sarasota, Tampa, etc. Southbay (fishing & picnic) is directly south on US Hwy 27. Easy daytrips to East, West, and South coasts of Florida and reasonable drive to Universal Studios, Busch Gardens and other attractions.

Interaction with guest

Home has a property manager who personally greets guests and provide walkthrough and access codes for security system and wifi. There is no anonymous check-in using a code for this property.

Response from the owner We advise all inquirers that the community itself is rural, somewhat rustic and the rates are priced accordingly. The home is just as advertised. We ask all renters to READ THE REVIEWS so they get the opinion of travelers who stay at our cottage, not our opinion. The home is on a quiet street, near the town limit with easy access to US Hwy 27. Google photos are not current and can mislead. Also, there is no need for visitors to travel around within the community unless they chose to do so and if they did, they would be surprised at how friendly the neighbors are and non-intrusive. This guest DID NOT STAY at our cottage so would have no way of knowing that it would have been a very pleasant experience as our other renters have found. This is our second property in the same community and is just as popular as our first which is frequently booked (in fact for several years by all types of people from all places, including other countries). In fact, this cottage is already booked for the season for 2020 and 2021 as is our other property in the same area. Most importantly, it is booked by repeat guests. They have even asked if we have other available rentals. It is important to note that these guest do not resemble the locals so there is not that affinity. They enjoy the property and aren't concerned with how the neighborhood looks. The area isn't what it's appearance infers. Had this guest actually chosen to stay, especially since the home has a security system for peace of mind, they would have found the same as our other guests. Really nice place, nice neighbors, priced right, great amenities, great customer service but noisy roosters. We are dissapointed that a rating was provided on the community and not on the cottage but those who actually stay with us have been pleased.
