'Beachside Palace Villa' is very well located for a fantastic family holiday, you are very spoilt for choice when it comes to beautiful sandy beaches. The villa itself is the height of luxury, located in a fantastic location, sea is literally across the road (minor), and less than 400 yards from a series of sandy beaches stretching along Pernera's coast.
For evenings, there are local restaurants within 5 minutes walk, or it's a 15 minute walk to the main restaurant area of Pernera.
We provide a very useful information Guide in the villa (which is emailed to you once booked) this gives walking and driving directions to the best beaches, restaurants and amenities, these are all marked on a series of hand crafted maps. There are also some great walks along the coastline from the villa, and a family oriented water park in easy driving distance.

“Beachside Heaven”
We have just returned from a 12 nights stay. Originally meant to be myself, my husband and our two daughters but due to the dog sitter cancelling very last minute ( a whole other story!) It was just myself and our daughters. We arrived late afternoon on Sunday and struggled to park near the villa. We later discovered from the ice cream van man that because it gets so hot in the capital, Nicosia, on weekends they all flock to the coast and it gets very busy. After this though we never had a problem with parking, just on arrival and trying to unload. Just to note, don't make the mistake I did! I unloaded straight away before I read the villa manual, the front door locks when it shuts and this would have been a nightmare if I hadn't luckily already opened the back door, the back gate is easy to reach through and unbolt to get round the back. Also it took me ages to work out how to get the air conditioning to work ( I blame the fact I had been travelling for nearly 15 hours and had been awake for nearly 36 hours...also my husband usually works stuff like that out!) Anyway after a few hours of unpacking in the heat and a video call to my husband, we got it working. Its really simple but wonder if basic instructions for people like me might be helpful? The villa was modern, clean and spacious and had everything we needed. Plenty of fridge space and a small freezer which was great for ice cubes and ice cream! Only thing it didn't have was a dishwasher, but really its no hardship to wash up when the sun's shining! Very useful to have a washing machine, and there is a drying rack outside. The pool was amazing, crystal clear and refreshing in the morning and like a warm bath by afternoon. Enough room for a leisurely swim and to float round if you have floaties. The pool guy was lovely we saw him once on Saturday but he visited twice a week. It was quite interesting watching him 'vacuum' the pool! We came home one day and could tell he'd been as the hose was in the pool and the pool level topped up- he did say if the level drops in between his visits you can just top up with the hose. The slide is a really decent size and I can imagine children would absolutely love it. There is also a poolside shower to rinse off the beach, which is useful as after a hot 5 minute walk back from the beach you just want to jump in the pool! At the same time as the pool man was there a lady arrived with fresh linen as we were visiting for over a week, she was lovely also and not intrusive at all, she was very quick. There were bathroom towels available and also separate beach/pool towels. The patio is like a suntrap, always sunny somewhere throughout the day. We had a cat visited regularly who liked to chill out in the corner whilst we were by the pool, although he was to nervous to be touched. (If you like cats, stroll down to the harbour in the evening and there are loads of them as somebody feeds them down there.) There was a gas barbecue in corner but we didn't use it. We also had several sparrows who we loved to watch flying around and hopping around the patio...I did see a review that mentioned bird droppings but this was not a problem we encountered. We were lucky enough to have a car, everything is in walking distance but in the blistering heat it was helpful to have a car, walking into pernera would I imagine take 20 minutes at normal pace but in slow hot walking or if you have anyone with mobility issues or children with little legs it could be double that. The road running alongside the villa is busy and can be noisy even during the night, although never had a problem getting out with the car and didn't notice a laundry facility as mentioned in previous reviews..despite this it still felt very peaceful and did not negatively impact the holiday in anyway. We used the metro supermarket in paralimni which was a 5 minute drive, it had 2 floors and the top floor had all the toiletries and household cleaning etc so it was best to do that first before the food on the bottom floor. ( there was an old chap who banged on the door several times who wanted to sell fruit and veg, we didn't buy anything but could be useful to know) There is also a 24 hour bakery, kostas ,which is a 4 minute drive right on the roundabout which was great. There are a few small supermarket shops one by Golden coast hotel and the others in the other direction from the villa.An ice cream van also comes round twice a day,there is another ice cream van also parked by the beach. Loads of places to eat in pernera, although our favourite was mamma leones which is part of Golden coast hotel. Protaras is an 8 minute drive, plenty of parking and fab if you love a busy strip with lots of holiday shops and places to eat and drink. Even has McDonald's, KFC and pizza hut if you so desire but so many better places to go in pernera, kapparis or protaras. Our first night we were exhausted and actually ordered a takeaway, and again one night after a long beach day,just registered on a site called Wolt and had food delivered within 30 minutes! We went to the golden coast beach several times, get a snorkel...we swam with a turtle!! Amazing! We took insulated cups with us which were a godsend both by the pool and the beach as its so hot drinks become lukewarm in minutes. Just a minute or so walk from golden coast beach is a kiosk selling slush drinks and icecream and right next to it bloo restaurant does takeaway food if you want it. There are also toilets to the side of that restaurant or public toilets a bit further along. We have loved our holiday, I feel the price we paid for the villa was incredibly reasonable and would absolutely return. We have terrible post holiday blues right now, just want to have my morning coffee by the pool and a nice swim!

“Family friendly”
Villa clean and tidy, location near to beaches and restaurants. Owner was very helpful prior to arrival and the villa was very modern and clean. We had 2 issues during our holiday and both were dealt with within 24hrs. Hopefully I will book again for next year, thanks again .
