Villa Planina is offering spacious self catering accommodation for groups of 2-20 in four apartments in an alpine chalet with wonderful uninterrupted views of the Julian Alps. Villa Planina is located in a quiet spot on the edge of the charming authentic alpine village of Ratece just a few kilometres out of Slovenia's most famous mountain resort Kranjska Gora and within walking distance of several excellent local restaurants and amenities with fantastic walking and mountain biking right from the doorstep of the villa and a wide range of Winter sports in very easy reach, including skiing at Kranjska Gora Ski Resort (5 minutes drive) and Tarvisio Monte Lussari (15 minutes drive). The four apartments each offer extremely spacious, comfortable and well equipped accommodation, each with large balcony with fantastic views and a communal games room in the basement.

“beautiful and quite mountain village, great apartment with stunning view.”

I spent 5 nights with all my family in this marvelous apartment in Ratece village. The location was easey to find from the main road, the apartment was cleaned and there was everything you could need. You can reach the Kranjska Gora ski resort in 5 minutes drive or within 20 minutes Tarvisio Monte Lussari ski resort (Italy). We hope to get back next year Andrea

“Everything one could hope for in a vacation rental!”

Our stay at Villa Planina could not have been more relaxing and enjoyable. While we were there, it snowed for almost a full day. The village was magical and the new snow made the surroundings even more beautiful. The day after the snowfall was filled with blue sky and bright sunshine. We found ourselves taking photo after photo of the stunning panoramic views from the Villa. Inside the villa, every amenity one could possibly want is available. The Internet connection was superb and the downstairs ping pong table and pool table came into good use during the snowy day. The furniture is comfortable, the floor plan is open and welcoming. This helped us to feel at home in the Villa. The kitchen was fantastic. We love to cook and took advantage of the full kitchen, utensils and dishwasher! Our only regret is that we booked just three days. Next time we'll book at least one week!

I am Silvia from Italy. I have spent 4 days in Villa Planina with my boyfriend and four other friends. We really enjoyed the stay at Villa Planina. The house was clean, modern and warm. When we entered in Villa Planina we also found a bottle of wine left as a gift from the staff, it was very kind and appreciated. Also the view from the window of the living room was spectacular. Another pro of Villa Planina is definitely the game room where we had many ping pong matches.

Both the accommodation and Kranska Gora and Julian Alps Regions have exceeded our expectations in every way possible. The village itself is a gem with old style houses and relaxed lifestyle and views of Julian Alps to die for. As such I'd like to congratulate you and Think Slovenia for offering first class holiday experiences for those wishing a true Alpine holiday
