Description

Gite Mercure is part of a traditional farmhouse conversion lying in the Southern Mayenne close to the borders of Brittany, Maine et Loire and the Loire Atlantique making this a great base to explore. Situated within 7 acres of land you are in the middle of the beautiful Mayenne countryside yet within walking distance of the nearest bar and restaurant. You can walk or cycle to the nearest village of Saint Saturnin du Limet to pick up your morning bread or drive a couple of kilometers to the nearest town of Renaze for a selection of shops, bars and restaurants.

The land backs on to a cycle track that runs from the town of Renaze to Laval.

The area also offers many nearby activities such as fishing, kayaking, cycling, horse riding, hiking and golf. If you want riding lessons around the the local chateau then be sure to let us know! For the motorsport enthusiast, Le Mans just over an 90minutes drive away.

This pretty holiday gite has been designed for a couple looking for a quiet holiday in an old farmhouse with all the comforts of home. The bedroom is equipped with a kingsize bed with an ensuite shower room (with a multi-jet shower) and WC. If there are more than 2 people then we will provide you with a comfprtable Z-bed. The main living area has a fully equipped kitchen (with fridge/freezer), a dining area and a comfortable lounge area to sit, relax and unwind. There is a TV with UK satellite, a DVD player and free wi-fi. If you want to sit out and enjoy the sun of a Mayenne summer then feel free to pick a spot in the large field and of an evening maybe take a stroll to the local village bar.

The property is cleaned to a high standard for your arrival and a starter pack of "essentials" will be waiting for you in the cottage for when you arrive. If there is anything specific that you want prior to your arrival then please let us know! Also whilst you are here we will make sure that you plenty of eggs from our free range chickens and you can help yourself to fruit and vegetables (subject to availability!) If you have any scraps of food left then I am sure the pet pigs will be mighty pleased to see you!!

Rennes Airport is less than 1 hour away and Dinnard Airport 1 hour 20mins. The nearest Port of St Malo (to Portsmouth) is 1 hour 15 mins with also easy access to Caens, Le Harve and Dieppe.
