The Accommodation The apartment is tastefully renovated in Mediterranean style and well furnished, on the fourth floor of a building year '50 with living room, kitchenette, 1 double or twin room and 1 room singola.Dotato air conditioning, heating and Wi-Fi. The area is served by supermarkets, banks post offices, shops, pizzerias, bars, restaurants, pharmacies, laundries. A few steps from Montpellier / Pinocchio Park. A few meters away are bus stops that lead in all directions of the city; Irno via the station and the station of the metro via Vernieri. The city center, main railway station and the port are within walking distance in ten minutes. From the apartment it is easy to reach the entrance and the A1 highway exit at Salerno center or Fratte. Its central location makes it an ideal place to visit very famous fish sites .Salerno is centrally located between some of the most beautiful sites in the world and are easily accessible using public transportation: Capri (1h40 'by hydrofoil), Positano (1h30' with ferry), Amalfi (45 'with ferry, 25' with hydrofoil), Paestum (30 'with train), Pompei (20' with train), Napoli (50 'with bus), Maratea (2h with train) .25' of bus from Cetara, before the beautiful beach on the Amalfi coast.

“Zweckmässiges, sauberes Appartement”
Wir kannten uns in Salerno gar nicht aus, als wir das Appartement gebucht haben. Es ist relativ weit weg vom Meer und von der von uns gebuchten Schule (30 MIn. zu Fuss) und im 5.Stockwerk ohne LIft. Zum schlafen mehr als ok, es fehlt jedoch Aussicht und lädt tagsüber nicht ein dort zu verweilen. Küche zweckmässig eingerichtet. Zimmer schön gross. Flavio der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und charmant. Viel Dokumentationsmaterial in der Wohnung für Ausflüge, er selber gab auch Tipps, wir haben die Zeit in Salerno sehr genossen. Eine wunderschöne Stadt und die Küste Amalfi's immer eine Reise wert.

“Lovely Apartment. Perfect Base For Expolring Amalfi Coast”
This apartment was an excellent base for exploring the Amalfi coast. The apartment was spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished and everything has been thought of for a comfortable stay with a lovely homely feel. The bed is very comfortable. The host, Flavio is very helpful and welcoming whilst respecting your privacy. Salerno is a large, busy town and the apartment is in a residential area, quiet as in no noisy bars, major roads etc but regarding other comments here if you want silence staying in any Italian town is just silly. The historic centre is around 15 mins walk down a busy shopping street as is the main shopping town and the seafront. Local beach is around 20 mins. There is a hill but it isnt that bad and you know it's a fourth floor apartment when you book. The price reflects this. Parking is easy and free nearby, we always found space. Buses go from nearby to the Amalfi coast, boats around 20 mins walk. Tip: If driving get a small car and make sure you have Satnav that works. We are good at navigating but Salerno has more one way streets than any town we have ever visited, virtually every street is one way with no obvious logic. It is seriously unfathomable even after a ten day stay. Getting anywhere involves a complex navigation of the maze. Satnav takes you straight through so easily. Flavio kindly came out to meet us when we got lost. We, ahem, later found the hidden Satnav menu in our hire car! Good supermarkets are nearby. We travelled around mainly by car. The driving is fine, surprisingly laid back if you adapt to local ways but not for the faint hearted. It is vital to use the mirrors mounted on every bend on the coast road and listen for bus horns. Parking is expensive on the coastal route at 2 euros per hour or 3 at weekends but you can be lucky on the outskirts of towns if you are happy to walk. Just check the signage carefully. Avoid te coast road at weekends in summer if you can, far quieter on weekdays (in June at least). Vietri (good nearby beach) always had space on the coast road downhill just beyond the town.
