Description
On the idyllic forested green island of SAMOS a short walk from the harbour and Vathi town centre, you will find the charming family beach of RODITSES (Pomegranates). The beautiful white 2 storey beach front, family owned villa can be rented as a whole, or as the following separate units:
(i) STUDIO on the sea level ground floor: a stylish and comfortable open plan studio apartment with fully equipped kitchenette and bathroom which sleeps a couple & up to 1 extra adult or 1-2 children, with views directly onto the sea across a bougainvillea & roses-filled garden;
(ii) on the sea level ground floor: a two bedroom apartment with fully equipped open plan kitchenette/ lounge and dining area and three bathrooms which comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests and which also has views directly onto the sea across the garden. These two units have exclusive use of the large, open, shaded veranda on this level, with outdoor shower to cool off after swims and outdoor tables for alfresco meals;
(iii) on the upper ground level, an open plan studio with fully equipped kitchenette and dining area and one bathroom. This unit sleeps a couple and up to 1 extra adult or 1-2 children, and it has its own private courtyard;
(iv) also on the upper ground level, a one bedroom apartment with a large and fully equipped open plan kitchen, lounge and dining area and one bathroom, which sleeps up to 4 people, and which has its own private balcony overlooking the sea level veranda with magnificent sea views;
(v) on the first floor, a fully equipped three bedroom apartment penthouse which sleeps up to 5 people, with two bathrooms, one of which en-suite, large open plan fully equipped kitchen, lounge and dining area (which comfortably seats 8 people) and its own private balcony overlooking the sea ; (NOTE THAT THIS APARTMENT IS FULLY LET FOR 2018)
(vi) on the rooftop terrace an open plan Penthouse Studio with private shower bathroom, fully equipped kitchene and fabulous views across the bay from a huge open balcony, its own private barbecue area and an open air dining table that comfortably seats 10 people.
All the accommodations have free WiFi and free access to the villa's large private garden right on the sea front, with shady hammocks, comfortable recliners, coffee tables and chairs, outdoor barbecue facilities and private access to the sea from its own jetty, as well as a rowing boat for the exclusive use of guests.
The villa has fabulous views over the Samos bay, to the picturesque town of old Vathi and beyond to forested hills across the crystal clear aquamarine waters of the bay. It has all the advantages of its quiet sea-side location just outside of town, while being only a few minutes walk from the shops, restaurants, coffee shops, bars and night life of Samos town.
The apartments are all decorated with flair and an island sensibility, complemented by the owners' collection of artifacts from their long stay in South Africa.
All kitchens are fully equipped with microwaves, refrigerators, stoves,filter-coffee press and kettle. All showers have glass doors.
All bedrooms have air-conditioning , charming antique beds and luxury cotton linens. There are double sleeper sofas for extra guests and baby coat on request.

-On the beach level in the traditional rose garden under a huge umbrella there are sun loungers for your use and relaxation in your private courtyard by the sea among the roses and bougainvillea. -Restaurants & Bars: The Roditses waterfront has several Tavernas & Bars with superb views for alfresco dining.-Food & Beverages: A short scenic 10 min walk to the neoclassical Samos town centre, where you will find a lovely shopping district along cobbled streets, a daily fruit and vegetable Market and several super market for greater shopping variety.-The town's main point of interest is the exceptional good Archaeological museum, it is a must, with the tiny but attractive municipal garden and a small cafe.In the other direction a short 5 minute walk will take you to Gangou beach with laid back bars and local restaurants.

Response from the owner Dear guests We are very sorry for the unfortunate events relating to the municipal water supply that occurred precisely on the 15th of August a public holiday for Greek Orthodox people, which sadly fell in the middle of your stay (10-21 August). The water supply on the island was interrupted for 3 days and technicians worked day & night to restore it. As we manage and personally look after our property (bookings, cleaning and maintenance,gardening…) we are incredibly house proud and would like to stress the following: 1) Our water tank (2 m3) is sufficient for the size of our property and with sensible usage. Unfortunately we are not permitted by the municipality to install a borehole. 2) If the guests report any problems, we attend to them and try to solve issues immediately as you experienced, when we called the plumber. 3) As our property is surrounded by nature and with summer’s temperature soaring up to 40 degrees, you unfortunately expect unpleasant visits. We do a pest control, twice a year to all property. 4) The property is built according to strict building specifications, double walls with a space and a vacuum in between , we are very concerned that you experienced a damp smell and will investigate what might be causing this. Again we regret that you had to experience such a series of unfortunate events, we hope that the full refund will ensure that you get to enjoy our real Greek magic: history, sea, sun… in the near future. “Tranquillity, sunshine, beautiful garden, clear sea within a stone's throw”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Samos and were made extremely welcome by apartment owners Loukia and Manoli who met us with their golf buggy to make the transition from taxi to accommodation as easy as possible. The apartment itself was beautifully presented and extremely comfortable, with a lovely basket of the owner's local produce providing a special welcome on arrival. Everything necessary was to hand for an easy, relaxing time - especially wonderful was the pretty balcony view of the sea and immaculate garden, so close that you could hear the waves gently rolling into shore - pure tranquillity! Tavernas offering delicious food were within easy walking distance, and nearby moped hire made it possible to view more of this green and fertile island and its many beautiful beaches. Thoroughly impressed and feeling well rested, we hope we will see more of Samos, its friendly people and its resident cats very soon.
