Il sole, il mare, il vento. È la natura la prima cosa che colpisce arrivando in questo lembo di terra sospeso tra due mari. Il Salento ha il suo cuore nella provincia di Lecce e tocca parte di quella di Brindisi sull'Adriatico e di Taranto, sul mar Jonio. Ben presto si scoprono le città ed i paesi dell'entroterra gioielli di quello stile unico che è il barocco leccese e che recano le tracce dei Messapi e della Grecìa salentina, che conserva, nella lingua, nei canti e nelle feste l'antica cultura della Magna Grecia.Gli amanti del surf, del kite surf e del windsurf si ritrovano immancabilmente sulle lunghe spiagge di fronte ai laghi Alimini e gli appassionati del diving non hanno che l'imbarazzo della scelta tra i centri attrezzati e negli incantevoli fondali della costa jonica e di quella tra Otranto e Santa Maria di Leuca.
