Description

WavePark Resort Mentawai is the first land-based resort in the Mentawai Archipelago. We've been operating since 1998 and have decided to focus on high end family and solo traveller markets. Our 6 bungalows host up to 25 guests, but for those that wish to surf while here, we guarantee only 12 surfers on the island. Our 77 acre tropical island is 1/2 jungle and 1/2 coconut plantation. We are the only property on the island and guarantee exclusivity and privacy for you and your family. Aside from world-class surfing, we have lots of marine activities for the whole family to enjoy. Our 12m private speedboat is on standby 24/7 for emergencies, and we can cross the channel in 3 hours if necessary (180km). We focus on safety first and are ideal for families with young children.

We provide all the transport necessary for our guests, including mainland car transfers, mainland - island boat transfers and speedboat transfers for marine activities once on site. All of the transport is included in your daily price.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
