Description
Villa Rigas, named after the beautiful Rigas Bay above which it sits, is a second generation family owned property set in large, mature landscaped gardens. The Villa is located in the Kanapitsa region of the highly sought after Kalamaki Peninsula on the beautiful Island of Skiathos, Greece.
Our Greek Home is a closely guarded secret family retreat, which we have now decided to share with only a handful of visitors a year.
The "Little House" or "Spitaki", as it is affectionately known, for rental is completely self contained and nestles in the grounds of the main Villa; benefitting from its own parking area behind electric gates, dedicated entrance and private secluded terrace with table & chairs.
Skiathos is the greenest and most popular of the Sporades Islands. The secluded terrace offers uninterrupted panoramic views of this beautiful landscape and surrounding islands. A sample of these can be seen in the pictures.
The Villa is approximately 15-20 minutes walk from the closest bus stop where there is a regular service to all parts of the island; there is also a well stocked supermarket and Taverna's within walking distance. Kanapitsa Bay is a five to ten minute walk away; this is one of over sixty beaches on the island and boasts a Taverna/Bar, regular water taxi service to Skiathos Town, sun loungers and full water sports facilities including motor boat rental.
The "Little House" is cleaned and linen changed weekly. The terrace and garden are swept, watered and maintained on a daily basis.
We can help you with car or scooter hire during your stay if required.
This is a perfect destination for the lone traveller, couples and family's alike who are looking for a self catering break. Skiathos offers something for everyone, your holiday can be as busy or quiet as you wish; the only thing you can't control is the virtually guaranteed sunshine. Skiathos is an extremely popular destination and all aspects can be easily researched online.
The entire property is secured behind a perimeter wall and locked electric gates.
Friends and family that have stayed have said that it is: "Truly a fairytale, paradise island with unparalleled views and idyllic relaxation".
Villa Rigas is a privately run rental facility fully licensed and insured by the Hellinic Ministry of Tourism.

“A real gem for discerning travellers”
The “Little House” is more like a little “home from home.” Peaceful location, uninterrupted spectacular view from patio & bedroom. You could almost feel like the only tourists in town. Why put up with dodgy hotels & studio apartment complexes, when you can have your own little home? Salli was fantastic, waiting hours for our delayed flight. Actually the included transfers to and from airport are a real bonus, reducing stress, whilst clearly saving a taxi fare or two. The property is very cleverly designed, benefitting from the main house being so close, and set in their beautiful garden - yet it still feels very private. Great attention to detail from the owner enhances the “home from home” experience - the generous 1st day provisions, the fluffy towels, a good hairdryer (!), and quiet yet very effective air-conditioning. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property ...I only hope it doesn’t get so popular that we can’t get availability again!

“Amazing place”
