Villa in Carovigno, Nr. Ostuni, Puglia, Italy - 3km (2.8 Miles) To Sea, 5km (4 Miles) To Carovigno, 11km (8.5 Miles) Ostuni

Only 20 minutes drive from Brindisi Airport (17 miles) our spacious villa with private pool is for rental, sitting in 10000sq.mtrs with olive/fig trees and planted hedge of Ollianda, Lavender and Bay. Opposite is Masseria Carvinea an up and coming vineyard of Puglia "Carvinea" with it's extensive vineyards. Close to local town of Carovigno with its delightful shops and restaurants, recently refurbished with addition of air-conditioning, central heating, swimming pool, solar, new kitchen and bathrooms. Roof terrace for warm evenings.

“Wonderful Fully Equipped Private Villa with Large Pool”

Two weeks at this villa in the wonderful Italian area of Puglia. In a good spot just outside Carovigno and a short distance too from San Vito dei Normanni. Extremely well equipped Villa in the kitchen with large pots and plenty of glassware / dinnerware for large parties, including a well stocked cupboard of plastics for poolside use. TWO gas bbq's. Excellent WIFI, there were many devices between us all and the router coped admirably. Huge pool with a large shallow section (waist deep) and a deep end which had a clever ledge around all sides to stand on for weaker swimmers. We took out an inflatable volleyball net and had great fun in the pool. Villa owner Sheila is lovely and does a very good job keeping in contact and checking every thing is ok. We were met at the villa and shown around by Antonio who was lovely and very enthusiastic. He left us to it and returned with a troupe of cleaners after one week to clean the place, change bedding and towels as well as look after the pool. In the grounds there are fig & lemon trees and also lots of tomatoes (at lease two varieties) to help yourself to, which we did - can't beat ripe warm vine picked tomatoes and mozzarella salad. Excellent supermarkets all within 10 minute drive or less:- San Vito dei Normanni has a large Familia & Eurospin on the Carovigno road out of as well as a Lidl on the Mesange road. Carovigno has a good Eurospin on the Santa Sabina road. Lidl and Eurospin are open all day unless there is a big festival like the Santa Maria one in August. Don't buy duty free spirits at the airport, its cheaper in Puglia; non UK branded gin between €5 and €7. Saw Tanqueray €12! Did miss good quality tonic though. Cheaper to eat and drink out than the UK. Beer €2-€3, barista coffee €1.50, pizza €3-€4. A very good takeaway pizza in Carovigno found on TA. Recycling and rubbish can be taking into San Vito; second right after the town sign. We rubbish was collected once from the end of the drive when we trialled it late into the holiday. We were a large party so it didn't take long to build up a mountain of plastic water bottles and glass. Would recommend.
