This was our third stay at Coconut Bay Resort. So we definitely enjoy staying here. Some updating may be needed but it is a delightful place. The location is perfect. So much in walking distance - beach, state park, Bonnet House Museum, water taxi, groceries, restaurants, the Galleria Mall and little shops close to the beach. Surrounded by high rises this is a hidden quiet gem. The pool and hot tub area is great. Gas grills, shower and rest rooms are available. The covered area next to the dock with tables is a great place to sit and read. So is the common patio or balcony area on each floor of the two buildings. The resort is very clean and the housekeeping and maintenance staff work hard maintaining the resort. There is plenty of parking. Nixa and Pabony in the office are very nice and helpful. The office is not staffed 24 hours so if you arrive late be sure to call ahead to make arrangements.
Bath towels and pool towels are provided by the resort. We had plenty of towels that are replaced mid-week and if staying for more than a week - the condo is cleaned and towels replaced.
We stayed at CB for one month. We met so many nice people. Such a casual, friendly atmosphere. Our first two weeks we stayed in a 1 BR, 1 Bath. It was small but we managed. The second two weeks we stayed in a spacious 2 br 2 bath unit. It is such a pleasant unit. We really liked it. With the pinks, blues and greens the condo was very beachy. The king size bed was very comfortable and the rooms large. The bedrooms face the canal with the boats docked. The kitchen had all the equipment we needed. There were baking dishes, pots, pans. Dishwasher soap is provided as are paper towels. One thing I liked was the bathrooms had hooks on doors to hang towels and clothes. (Other units didn't have these.)
While we were there, we got to meet the owners of the 2 bedroom condo. They are so nice and very responsive. A real pleasure to meet. I look forward to renting from them again and returning to Coconut Bay.
My family and I stayed here for a quick getaway vacation to the beach and this house was perfect. The house is equipped with everything you need and more. This was also my 10 month old niece's first time traveling and the house is very family friendly. They provided a high chair and pack n play, the house is one level so plenty of room to crawl and very clean. There is a basketball hoop in the back and we enjoyed playing a game before going to the beach. Very short walk to the beach (About 2 minutes) and in a safe neighborhood. Overall, we had a wonderful time and will be back!
I will start with the Pros.. the house was large and spacious with plenty of room for our family. The kitchen was updated and pretty well stocked with pots and pans. The media room was nice and there were movies to watch left by the owner. It was very convenient having a washer and dryer right off the kitchen to use during our stay. The pool area was very nice with a beautiful water view. There was a large gas grill and a table with many chairs for everyone.
The Cons.. this house either needs tlc by the owner or the management company needs to pay more attention. In the description of the home there was to be a toaster and a blender. There were neither so I went and purchased a toaster so the kids could toast their bagels. The blender we decided to go without even though a frozen drink would have been nice by the pool. The downstairs bedroom where my daughter slept had a leak in the ceiling. I believe it was coming from the master bath shower and looked as though it had been repaired before. The carpet in the living room had a huge disgusting stain and when I made the Turnkey people aware they just brushed it off and said it had been there for a while. I truly think if the carpet was taken out of the living room, stairway and bedrooms it would have felt cleaner. The carpet is old and unsanitary looking. The cleaning crew obviously does not clean very much because there was 2 inches of dust on the shelves in the closet. I had to scrub them myself before lying my clothes down. Pillows need replacing as they have no life left in them and are all stained when you take the pillow case off to wash. There were numerous lights without bulbs or mismatched bulbs that made no sense. The yard had an abundance of chairs but only one lounge chair. All the rest were broken and thrown on the side of the house. I actually called turnkey four times between day one and two with lists of stains, broken chairs etc so we would not be blamed for any of it. The house has potential but I think no one is paying attention to the small details that make a house a home.
We had an awesome vacation! Excellent location and the house was exactly as pictured. The house is extremely close to the casino, Sawgrass Outlet Mall and plenty of restaurants. We had a few minor issues, however Taylor responded to everything immediately. It was very easy to contact Taylor and he was always accessible and accommodating. We will definitely be staying there again next year!!!
“Less than an hour’s drive from Miami, Fort Lauderdale offers the classic Florida vacation at a slightly more manageable pace. Miles of perfect coastline make this a spot for both spring breakers and vacationing families. There are bars and restaurants to satisfy just about any appetite, too, offering everything from happy hour specials to seafood fresh from the Atlantic.
With its charming architecture and direct line to the beach, Las Olas Boulevard is a popular destination for shopping, eating, and local culture. It’s also near the New River, where the Riverwalk connects to other cultural spots like the Museum of Discovery and Science, Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale, and Broward Center for Performing Arts.
Toward the west is the Everglades, where visitors can take an airboat ride across the swamp. Alligators may get all of the headlines, but this area is home to a diverse set of species that are definitely worth the trip—if you can tear yourself away from the shore.”
"Check out the Tarpon Bay and Miami nightclubs for late night partying and dancing."

"For those seeking adventure in Fort Lauderdale there are ample opportunities for jet skiing and para sailing, but the best thrills come from the Everglades fan boat rides."
