Description
Alfies is a beautiful, newly renovated beach house with spacious rooms, in a gorgeous garden setting with safe swimming for little ones at your front door. The house is fully self contained, but holiday makers are encouraged to be 'looked after' by the staff who will serve you breakfast, clean for each of you daily and can provide lunch or dinners on request.
The house is perfect for families or friends looking for a relaxing beach holiday, but within easy reach of Galle, Unawatuna and some great surfing spots for beginners and more advanced alike, and all it has to offer by way of eating out, shopping and spas.
We have just added a 4th bedroom with ensuite with bunk bed which is great for kids or extra guests.
Sri Lanka offers a great deal of diversity for holiday makers, from quiet relaxation and culinary exploration to shopping, sightseeing, water sports and cultural immersion. Alfies is conveniently located to take advantage of the best that the area offers with diving, whale & dolphin watching, beautiful old temples and the historic city of Galle nearby.
The rental includes a complimentary breakfast of tropical fruits, toast, jam, eggs, tea & coffee, or for the more adventurous, delicious sri lankan curries.
Staff are on hand to provide breakfast, daily cleaning with meals available on request for lunch or dinner.
Talpe Beach Restaurant is 2 doors along, and use of their beautiful establishment and pool is open to guests from Alfies Beach House any time.

Response from the owner I Paul, I would like to thank you, but sadly you did not visit our beach villa, unless you booked and stayed without my knowledge ? I am somewhat confused by all this review, and will contact Trip Advisor about this circumstance. I have had other very contact booking in July, but all were through Airbnb.

I was quite concerned to read of your experiences, as the majority of problems could have been rectified straight away, had I been aware there was an issue. In saying that, things should have been as near to perfect as possible in the first instance. I have recently spent time in the house and with my staff, who are, I feel a lot more understanding and proactive in their approach, and I am sure you would have a very different experience if you returned. If this is ever the case, I would like to offer a complimentary night by way of apology and hope that beyond the things you mentioned, you did enjoy your trip to Sri Lanka. I would add, that I also spoke with the local turtle sanctuary to ask their advice on how to approach this issue, and the staff and I will be a great deal more diligent in communicating a more conservatory approach to the local communities.
