Description

Coign 5 is the perfect place to relax and unwind. It is a modern home - large, airy and comfortable - one of a select group of 9 houses on the beachfront at Tangalooma. It is just a few short steps from the house to the family friendly beach. You can be building sand castles or swimming in the pristine blue waters just minutes after arriving.

The house has glorious panoramic views across Moreton Bay to Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, an ever-changing scene with all manner of water craft slipping by on the bay all day.

If you keep your eyes open you will see dolphins swimming near the house, and during the winter migration season we have been seeing whales in the bay again over the past few years.

Getting around

The island is a national park and has no made roads, so you need a 4WD to get around the island, either by driving on the beaches, or on a number of sand tracks that criss-cross the island. Tangalooma Resort has a number of tours that guests can book on if they don't bring their own vehicle to the island, and guests can take part in almost all Resort activities, some of which are fee based.

Interaction with guest

Enrance to the house is via a door code which you are sent a few days prior to check-in. We have an on-island agent who can be contacted in the event that you need anything extra or have anything which may need attention, such as extra towels, or maybe a light globe, or in the event of some maintenance at the house which may need doing. We will send you contact details just prior to check-in.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
