Description
The accommodation is in an annexe to the main property; it is fully self-contained, provides accommodation for 1 to 2 people, and is all at ground floor level. The annexe faces south, with lovely views over the surrounding unspoilt countryside, and consists of 2 single beds or configured together as a comfortable superking. A wet room with shower, loo and handbasin, a fully fitted kitchen with small fridge, full size cooker, microwave, toaster etc, and a cosy breakfast room. Outside is an area with table and chairs, to enjoy a balmy summer evening with a glass of wine. Also there is a secure enclosed small garden attached to the side of the annexe for well behaved dogs to be able to roam free. There is a surcharge of £10 per dog
There is so much to explore within a short distance. We are ideally located some six miles from the ancient stannary town of Tavistock, and less than four from the National Trust's Lydford Gorge. Launceston (10 miles) is the nearest Cornish town, and has an ancient castle, as does the pretty Devon town of Okehampton (12 miles).
The beautiful wilderness of Dartmoor- which begins almost on the doorstep at Brentor- offers a wide variety of outdoor pursuits, from walking to wild swimming, running to riding, bird-watching to back-packing, canoeing to cycling. There are ancient stone circles, the remains of early settlements, tumbling streams, hidden lakes- all waiting to be discovered.
Cyclists are well catered for, with The Dartmoor Way/ Devon Coast to Coast route (Route 27) within 1.5 miles, and National Cycle Route 327 within 200 metres. If golf is your game, there are two courses close by- with the nearest just four miles away. Or why not try soaring with the buzzards? (Dartmoor Gliding, 2 miles away)

“brilliant”
was away from every thing lovely and quite. so you need a car but only a few miles to town and every thing you need. the loveliest ladie is your host she is so kind friendly and so very thoughtful dose not get in your way just lets you get on with your holiday but is there if you need her and she has thought of every thing. you even have a washing machine in the place so cool. she is so friendly. and the place is so quite and peacefull. it is so clear you can see all the stars at night. I loved the peace and quite but not having to go to far to town and the sweetness of the ppl in the house thank you so so much hugs to all
