Description

In 2014 we have built a traditional Swiss chalet in Goldiwil, with wonderful views towards the Bernese Mountains. Only 5 km from the city of Thun, in a quiet area, Goldiwil is located at 1,000 meters above sea level. It is wonderful to walk and to make excursions to the surrounding sights and mountain peaks.

The holiday home "Im Bergli" is at the lower floor of the chalet with private entrance and terrace, which can be a great base for you during a lovely holiday or a working visit to Switzerland. The house is fully equipped. There is a double bedroom and an extra bedroom with high quality bunk beds. An open kitchen and a living room with sitting / TV area as well as a dining area with stunning mountain views are available for you. The kitchen is equipped with an electric cooker, oven, refrigerator and dishwasher, so that self-catering is made easy and comfortable. The doors in the dining area open towards the private terrace. There is also a private parking in front of the chalet. Pets and smoking are not permitted.

“Mountain panorama from your own terrace!”

This apartment on the ground floor of a traditional Swiss chalet looks over mountain ranges on all sides. It is spotlessly clean and both comfortable and practical. Frank, the host, could not be more helpful in terms of ensuring our comfort and also in offering advice on day trips. We had privacy, whilst knowing he was available if needed. The Panorama card provided with the tourist tax gives free bus transport (the stop is literally 3 mins away, next to a useful small supermarket!) and discounts on a variety of attractions. This location is an excellent base for visiting Stockhorn, Schynige Platte, Jungfraujoch, Niederhorn, Niesen and of course, Interlaken, Thun and other villages around the lake by boat/bus. Bern is also worth a daytrip by train (20 mins). Highly recommended!!
