Description

The Red House is one of 4 gîtes we have converted from an old stable just 200m from the heart of St Laurent de la Salanque, a large village with lots of amenities, including banks, bakeries, supermarkets, cafés and restaurants as well as a lively market on Sundays and Thursdays throughout the year.

Ideal for two families or a group, containing beautiful stonework and original wooden features, a well equipped kitchen, dining area and lounge with fireplace for the winter as well as WC on the ground floor leading to south facing terrace.

Two double bedrooms on the first floor (one with shower room) and family bathroom.

Large mezzanine with four single beds which has air-conditioning

You have a private terrace and there is a shared pergola where you can relax and meet other guests.

There is even a boules court if you fancy a game.

Perfectly situated just 10 minutes from the motorway, 15 minutes’ drive from Perpignan, 5 km from the beach at Le Barcarès and 40 minutes from the Spanish border

Getting around

It is highly recommended to have a car to really appreciate all that our region has to offer but not essential. We have many cycle paths connecting St Laurent to the beaches at Le Barcarés, Torreilles, Sainte Marie and along into Canet Plage. Heading inland you can reach Rivesaltes on the cycle paths and Salses le Château via the lanes through the vines. There are regular buses during the day linking St Laurent to both Le Barcarés and Perpignan. From Perpignan there are trains running to Barcelona, Carcassonne via Narbonne, Collioure and Villefranche le Conflent, all worth a visit. Perpignan airport is 15 minutes drive.

Interaction with guest

Gill or her husband Tim will be there for your arrival to show you around the house. Our Welcome Information provides necessary information for your stay and there are tourist leaflets providing ideas for things to do and places to visit. They live next door so don’t hesitate to contact them if you need help or just to say hello. A warm welcome awaits!

How do damage deposits work?

If Gillian (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
