Description

Mont Rouge is situated only 80 minutes drive from Cape Town on Route 63. Nestled at the foot of the Winterhoek Mountains outside the historical town of Tulbagh, this working fruit farm has been in the Du Plessis family for 3 generations and produces some of South Africa’s finest fruit.

Our Self catering riverside Cottages are affordable and spacious, fully equipped with breathtaking mountain views. The tranquility and beauty in and around the cottages will guarantee an unforgettable stay. The Cottages are practically designed and tastefully decorated to add to the enjoyment of your stay. Surrounded by trees, an outside braai area and large patios will add to your convenience.

Bedding, towels, morning coffee, tea, sugar, milk are standard features in both our cottages. Breakfast baskets, braai packs and wood are not standards features and can be arranged.

Feel like something different and take a drive to our farm, switch off the phone and take in nature at its best. We are pet friendly and should you wish to make them part of your stay, please arrange with us first.

Directions to Mont Rouge Tulbagh From Cape Town via Wellington 1. Take the N1, northbound, from Cape Town towards Paarl. 2. Exit N1 at the (R44) Wellington "Agter Paarl/Klapmuts" off ramp. 3. Continue on R44 towards Wellington. When you reach the four way stop, continue straight. 4. After +/- 5km's turn left at a set of traffic lights into Distillery Road - this is a continuation of R44. 5. Continue on R44 towards Hermon, Ceres and Porterville. 6. 9. 5 km after passing through Nuwe Kloof Pass, turn left. Sign post will indicate ‘Tulbagh’. 7. Continue until reaching a T-junction. 8. The cottages is self catering and self check in. We will give you the code for the lock box where you can find the key. This just makes the booking in proses so much smooth . And you can arrive at any time and when you depart we just ask to put the key back in the lock box and make sure every thing is locked up and secure.

And we are very pleased if you had a great time and that the family could share in this with you. I do always say it is the people that make the visit fun. What a blessing. This would not be possible without all the people assisting me in the businesses. So this gives me a great opportunity to thank them as well and my Farmer Husband that has to fix all the little things and make sure the grass is neat and tidy for the guest that are arriving.
