Description

Against the slopes of the Witzenberg, deep in Tulbagh's Winterhoek Valley, you'll find the charming Kliphuis, with it's stunning views towards the mountain & valley below.

Though rustic, all basic mod cons. Inside fire place, outside braai. Fridge/freezer, microwave, mini oven, cutlery, crockery. We supply bedding & towels.

Activities include hiking, fishing, rowing, mountain biking, horse riding at Vrolikheid, or just sit back & enjoy the view with a glass of cold Theuniskraal Riesling!

The Tulbagh valley also offers lots of tourism activities, like the historic restored Church Street & several museums, wine cellars, hiking & mountain biking routes, etc. Not to forget all the artists & Saronsberg Theatre!

“Dirty ,Horibble ,No shower!!!”

It was defenitly the most dirty and horrible place we've ever stayed in!!! Mouse poo everywhere even on the beds, the linen weren't clean, the shower didn't work, spider webs everywhere… More

Response from the owner Dear Chantelle. I am perplexed by your shocking review. We regret that you did not enjoy your stay at the Kliphuis, this is the worst review that we have had on the property in two years! Everybody loves the Kliphuis! The hot water geyser was finally replaced on Friday and the shower is now working better than ever and the water pressure greatly improved. This was our fault for not replacing earlier, but our plumber had a personal issue that week and we hoped that the geyser would last one more week.... obviously it did not. . The Kliphouse is our top selling property, and although February was an unusually quiet month, I assure you that there were guests there every weekend and that we cleaned every week. Your comment that it had not been cleaned for over a month or more, is revealing of the exaggeration of these claims. To top this off, we did a deep cleaning on Wednesday, two days before your arrival and my QC manager was part of the cleaning team that particular time as well. Any spider webs and mouse poos could have only been a maximum of two days old when you arrived. Our linen is clean, spotlessly so. I own a laundry and I assure you that we take our housekeeping responsibilities very seriously. Again I apologize for the now rectified shower issue specifically. Best, Jayson
