Ancient Walls "- Apartment is a beautifully furnished house with Wi-Fi, fully at your disposal with fireplace room, kitchen and bathroom downstairs and upstairs, bedroom and balcony. E 'air-conditioned (hot / cold ) and can accommodate up to 5 persons. the house, built for several centuries, is located in the "old walls" of the medieval historic center of Turi, overlooking the pretty square ancient Hospital better known locally as the "Square of the Females "(dialect for" Chiazz d 'femmn "). in the square guests can park with car pass provided by our facility. in the square, until a few decades ago, we gathered all the workers at dawn to try and go to gigs work in the fields. the same square was formerly occupied by a hospital built in 1800 thanks to the funds already allocated by a benefactor in the sixteenth century. After about a century, the hospital was closed and demolished in the '50s 1900 . Turi is a quiet popular inland town of Bari for the production and export all over the world of his Cherries "Railways" and, generally, for its precious culinary traditions. Turi is home to an old prison which housed Gramsci and Pertini; in it, you can see a pretty church of historical value and the medieval palace of the Marquis Venusio Marquis. Turi is about 250 meters above sea level and enjoys a pleasant dry climate both in winter and in summer. A Turi you to cycle around town routes and hill walking, delight you with wines, pastries and local delicacies. Turi is a few kilometers away from the major resorts importance as Alberobello, Valle d'Itria, Ostuni, Polignano a Mare, Monopoli, Matera, Bari. In half an hour you can reach the Salento.
