The apartment is located within the ancient bastions walls of Valletta, 500mtr away from St John's Co-Cathedral & Upper Baracka Gardens. Hasting Gardens are within 10 min walk.

Straight Street with its many bars, restaurants and active nightlife starts 200m away. You can find a new bar every night...

Originally built by the nights of St. John the location was converted into a large and luxurious apartment that will pass on to you the authentic feel of the historical Valletta. It features bare stone walls and massive wooden beams and a number of 19century antic furniture.

The spacious apartment offers its own bureau room with authentic fire place and a massive Neo-renaissance desk. PC&Monitor and free WIFI.

The large Dining Room for special dinners. A comfortably equipped kitchen with stove, oven, fridge, table & chairs.

Relax in the Reading- TV Room with flat screen and International TV.

Our guests are most fascinated by the stunning views you enjoy from the spacious terrace. An experience not to forget is standing high up on the terrace and look down over the old town and out to the sea.

The origins of the house- out of an historical magazine.

Let us move further into South street till we get to the corner with MA Vassalli street, before known as Scotts Street. In house No 9 lived the French Knight Dolomieu who owned a geological and natural history collection.

When the French came to Malta this French Knight left with Napoleon to Egypt. When the French were kicked out of Malta the French Knight asked for his collection to be sent to France and the English General Graham obliged.

Originally the house belonged to the family of the Knight De Budes and later another Knight, Francone (italian?) occupied the house. Later it was occupied by the former mentioned Dolomieu.

Getting around

Travelling by bus is quite convenient in Malta and the Malta main bus stop is just outside Valletta. There are guided tourist buses that show the main tourist attraction of Malta.

Interaction with guest

Worked as German engineer worldwide over many years. Finally settled in Malta and now rent out an apartment that I renovated with lots of passion bit by bit over the last years. I will personally welcome you when you arrive and introduce you to the flat.

“Perfectly as described amazing views and historical character”

Claus met us at the apartment having arranged the taxi transfer from the airport. The apartment is a 500 year old Knights house built completely of Maltese stone full of original features, and furniture, looking better than the in the photos. Superbly located and a pleasure to return to after long days exploring Valletta and surrounding areas. Really a very special place that I would recommend to anyone that likes a non hotel stay without missing out. Thank you so very much
