Description

Catered chalet Solneige is located next to the beautiful alpine village of Vaujany, directly connected with the snow secure Alpe d'Huez ski area, which combines the charm of a real mountain village with modern, up-to-date facilities.

Staying in one of the most beautiful ski chalets in Vaujany, you will find all the comforts you need to relax, escape and feel cozy after a day of skiing or cycling. In winter we rent our rooms per week, on half board base.

Before dinner you can enjoy an aperitif in the ambiance of our vaulted ceiling living room (70m2) in front of the cosy log fire or have your after ski in the hot-tub or sauna in the garden.

In the evening we will serve you an unhurried superb dinner partnered with quality wines. Dinner is served as a "table d'hôtes": all our guests sit together with us at the long table and have dinner together. You can accompany your after dinner coffee with home made or local digestives. Enjoy your holiday in laid back luxury and we will take care of the rest.

Our chalet has 6 comfortable, attractively decorated bedrooms with there own en-suite facilities. 3 Double rooms, 2 triple rooms and 1 suite (family room) with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. All the rooms have a big balcony or terrace with breathtaking views over the Alps.

You can either rent a room or several rooms (see our other adverts, or send us a mail). You can also rent all rooms, and have "sole occupancy" of the communal lounges.

For larger groups we can even make a combination with our apartments (in the same building): sleeps up to 28!

All our clients can use the beautiful vaulted living room with log fire and comfortable couches. There is a separate DVD home cinema room with a DVD and CD library.

Unwind and rejuvenate yourself in the hot-tub with 62 jet streams for a relaxing close of a wonderful day in the mountains. Or have a relaxing time in our new sauna. Comfortable bathrobes are provided.

Chalet Solneige is situated just outside Vaujany, a 4 minutes drive from the huge cable car. In front of the cable car we have heated ski lockers for you where you leave al your equipment safe and warmed. 6 Min later you will enjoy superb skiing on the snowsure slopes of the Grandes Rousses ski area (up to the Pic Blanc: 3300 meters).

Superb skiing with a mighty vertical of 1450m, claimed to be the longest in Europe.

In the ice rink in Vaujany you can rent skates, or enjoy a professional ice show or ice hockey match.

All our guests who will stay in the apartments can also use the beautiful garden and the hot-tub. On request it is
possible to have dinner with us.

The regular free shuttle bus (bus stop is next to the chalet ), will bring you up to the village centre or cable car in less then 5 minutes.

We have a heated ski locker for you in front of the cable car station, where you can leave behind all your equipments, safe and warmed.

If you come with your own car, there is a free covered parking place just in front of the cable car.

In Vaujany there is a very good (award winning) day nurserey, one of the best in the Alpes!
Please let us know in advance if you want to use the child facilities so we can make a reservation for you in advance. Also it is necessary to bring the health certificate of your children.

Being the proud owners of this beautiful chalet, we will be around nearly all day. We will serve the meals and if possible even join you at the "table d'hôtes". As we live in the area for quite some years, we know all the secret nice runs in winter and stunning hikes or cycling tours in summer. Because we live here, we have everything at hand: from childrens cot to needle and thread, extra gloves or a rucksack to borrow; feel at home!

How do damage deposits work?
