Description

A casa di Laura holiday accommdoation is part of a small hamlet of old houses set amongst the greenery hills with wide views over the blue sea and the surrounding countryside of lemon groves and vineyards.

The area is delightful, with many small hamlets, churches and other places of historic interest to discover.

The semi-detached building is situated in a peaceful and quiet location , on the edge of the pretty and ancient hamlet of Vettica , just 3,5 kilometres away from Amalfi town centre which can easily be reached in 10 minutes using the public transport system.

The house, split on two levels, has been completely restored throughout offering stylish accommodation, harmoniously blending the modern design of the tiles and the furnitures within the context of an old house which retains the original vaulted ceilings , white-washed walls and spacious rooms

A car is not necessary here as public transport is very good.

There is a SITA bus stop with a regular service to Amalfi few meters away from the house ( including the 88 stone steps ) , which makes it easy and cheap to travel around the area.

From the main door of the apartment, a corridor gives access to a spacious open plan living/dining room adorned with beautiful ancient cross vaults. The room is furnished with a modern two seater sofa, a leather white armchair, a flat-screen satellite TV, an air conditioning/heating unit and a dining table sitting 6 people . This room is very airy and full of light thanks to 3 windows facing the sea.

On one side of the living room access is into the kitchen with a window overlooking Conca dei Marini and the sea. The kitchen, adorned with teastfully blue maiolica tiles, is equipped with a four-burner gas cooker, an electric oven, a microwave oven , a refrigerator with freezer, a dishwasher, a washing machine, an Italian-style coffee-maker, an American-style coffee-maker and a bar table with two stools.

From the kitchen, 10 steps lead to the mezzanine level which gives access to a bathroom (by climbing 2 more steps) and to the large terrace which benefits from wonderful views over the surroundings countryside and the sea .

The small bathroom, with blue modern majolica tiles is equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a full stall shower and a small window with sea view.

The large, private terrace is partly shaded by a retractable awning under which is arranged an outdoor dining area equipped with table , chairs and a barbecue.

The area open to the sun is furnished with two sun lounges

The terrace offers a beautiful view of the sea and the coastline.

Back to the living/dining room, you will be able to each, through a stone stairway of 10 steps , the night area which three bedrooms sharing a bathroom along the corridor.

The master bedroom is fully of light and airy. It is equipped with a double bed, two bedside tables, large wardrobe and air conditioning/heating unit.

This bedroom offers also direct access to a terrace with sea through a French door. The terrace features tables with chairs.

The second room, in the green color, is a twin bedroom with window facing north. This bedroom features a wardrobe, a chair and air conditioning/heating unit.

The third bedroom is equipped with a French bed, a wardrobe, a chair, an air conditioning/heating unit and a window facing Amalfi and the sea.

This floor hosts a spacious bathroom along the corridor. It is equipped with a full stall shower, a washbasin, a bidet, a toilet, an hairdryer and a window.

Facilities included : Air conditioning and central heating unit in bedrooms and living/dining room, washing machine, TV , four-burner cooker with electric oven, refrigerator with freezer, microwave , electric oven, toaster, kettle , ironing facilities, hairdryers, wi-fi access.

Mandatory cleaning fee, payable locally 120 euros per stay .

Maid service: on request on confirmation of booking, payable locally. Approximately 10 Euros per hour

Electricity and air conditioning/heating : included in the rental price.

Refundable security deposit due upon arrival : 300 euros in cash

Parking is available at the nearby parking space at the daily cost of Euro 30,00/50,00. The valet service is provided.

Visitor’s tax : payable locally in cash is Euro 3 per person per night.

Access: There are 88 stone steps from the street level to the main entrance of the buiding which gives access onto an internal courtyard. From the small yard, approx 25 more steps takes to the front door of the apartment. A car is not necessary here as public transport is very good. There is a SITA bus stop with a regular service to Amalfi few meters away from the house ( including the 88 stone steps ) , which makes it easy and cheap to travel around the area
