Description
This is a 19th century Irish cottage which has been renovated in 2013 to offer old world atmosphere blended with 21st century comfort. The cottage is located on a quiet countryside road, about five miles from Newry in County Down (approx one hour thirty minutes from Dublin and Belfast airports) within easy reach of the famous Mourne Mountains and five minutes drive from the shores of Carlingford Lough. The house is surrounded by a little garden and an old orchard and offers self catering accommodation with a living room, a modern fitted kitchen, two bedrooms, (one ensuite with wheelchair access) and a bathroom. The living room has a comfortable sofa bed which extends the accommodation to up to six people. The house is designed for comfort with underfloor heating throughout and, for those wintry days when you need to see a real fire, you can snuggle up in front of a cosy wood burning stove in the living room.
The area is ideal for walking or cycling on country roads and the nearby town of Warrenpoint (5 minutes by car) offers a selection of excellent eating places.
Self catering bookings welcome with a minimum of two nights stay.

“Beautifully presented cottage with character”
