It is like our second home!

Left on Jul 16, 2013 for a stay in March 2013

We always get a warm welcome and are greeted by the dogs immediately. The location is wonderful for a complete getaway from the stresses and strains of life. The cottage is very comfortable and everything you need is there, including complimentary freshly laid eggs and sloe gin! There is always plenty to do in the surrounding area and lots of lovely walks around the farm.

A real home from home but the cooking is better!

Left on Oct 31, 2013 for a stay in October 2013

Helen and Les are a lovely couple who run a comfortable and well appointed Bed and Breakfast establishment. Breakfasts are superb, there is a wide choice, and they are expertly cooked using fresh produce. The lounge benefits from a lovely open fire which was most welcoming on a Northumbrian evening.

The cottage was very well equipped, very clean and
the owners were most helpful. A bonus was having the use of the leisure facilities free of charge and we made full use of the swimming pool and jacuzzi. Providing you have a car the cottage is an ideal base to explore Northumberland and we can
thoroughly recommend the Granby in the village for
excellent food.

Only downside was cottage right on the main road. The noise wasn't too bad but was noticeable.
Also, logs & coal provided for log burner but no kindling making lighting it tricky.

This is a great little cottage, lots of character and well equipped in a lovely area. Both the coast and the Northumberland countryside are well worth exploring.

A wonderful, warm and lovingly restored old church with amazing character and great facilities

Left on Feb 01, 2014 for a stay in January 2014

We really enjoyed all the space, the different little sitting areas, the lovely downstairs lounge to be together for films and the excellent dining and kitchen area. The owner was delightful to communicate with and guests' comfort was clearly a priority. The setting is fantastic and we went on local walks as well as visiting Kielder Water. If you are looking for a large place that sleeps 8 this …
