Description from owner

Description

Hazel Copse Cottage is a spacious, light, comfortable barn conversion equipped with everything you'll need.

Please Note:

Located on the edge of our wild meadow coastal farm, a few minutes stroll from The Fleet Lagoon. Hazel Copse is one of two family run cottages (Orchard View Cottage being the other) that make up Coastal Farm Holiday Cottages. Overlooking a Hazel Wood and one of 3 Apple orchards.

Nestled at the end of a leafy lane at the edge of Ivy Farm, there is no through traffic.

A wonderful get-away. Perfect for families, couples or the lone traveller.

Both cottages are No Smoking and No Pets.

Maximum Number of Guests: 4 Adults (or a combination of Adults and Children) + 1 Infant (under 24months)

Hazel Copse has an open plan living area with a hand built kitchen equipped with everything you'll need for your holiday. Including a few little extras like the slow cooker, perfect at the end of a long day to come back to a hot meal you prepared earlier, or the insulated wicker pic-nick basket for lazy pic-nicking amongst the flowers on the farm overlooking the sea.

The open living area leads on to a pretty stone terrace with a dining table and chairs. A lovely place to eat and relax with a glass of wine watching the sun go down while the children play in the Hazel Wood or under the apple trees with some of the many outside toys borrowed from 'The Shed'. A little hut, beside the bar-b-q area filled with outside toys and games and even some wellies for all the family.

Or, Stroll from your terrace through the meadows of the farm and the Coastal Footpath leads you to The Fleet Lagoon. You can enjoy the abundant wildlife along the way that we have nurtured through wild meadow planting and hedgerow and dry stone wall conservation over many years.

The cottage has two comfortable bedrooms where you can snuggle up under premium quality feather duvets and pillows and wake up to look over the apple orchard or Hazel Nut trees. With your comfort in mind there is bottled water and herbal teas beside each bed. The Master bedroom has an en-suite shower room with hand sink and w.c while the twin bedded room has a selection of toys and bedtime booksand an en-suite bathroom with full size bath with a shower attachment over, Sink and w.c.

Bath and hand towels are supplied along with complimentary toiletries.

In the open plan sitting room there's something for everyone from the TV, DVD player, CD music player, or if you prefer, stream your music via Bluetooth to the stereo. There's a small selection of books and puzzles and not forgetting the local guides and brochures to mull over planning your days out.

Year round: March – Early Spring growth on the Farm. From now on there should be a succession of flowering growth with the wild flowers and grasses, and the emergence of the abundant wildlife.

April – Spring Lambs are due - May - Apple Blossom Time - Hedgrows blosoming June - Wild Flowers and grasses Ox Eye Dasies in full bloom. July - Wild Flowers and grasses knee high by now make wonderful organic hay bales.

Response from the owner Well you can't please everybody, hard as we try and we do try. Yes, its a country cottage an old barn conversion to be precise with all the character and charm of original open beams and exposed forest marble stone, Oh and yes the odd spider too. But I'm afraid that goes with this charming cottage and its location along with the foxes and badgers, wild flower meadows, no traffic and loads and loads of beautiful walks. I could go on, but please a few spiders in an old barn conversion and they slate all our efforts. wicked.
