Fabulous modern, bright and airy 2 bedroom apartment with stunning view of Yalikavak Marina. Furnished to a high standard throughout. What makes it special are the magnificent views over Yalikavak bay and the Marina in one direction and the hillside view in another. Close to the 'fish restaurant village' area of Yalikavak. Wi-fi available. Shared pool.
ROOMS WITH VIEWS - The open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area has a sofa (which can be used as a double bed to sleep one or two extra people), comfy seating, wall cabinets, TV etc. From the lounge, large patio doors open onto the terrace with its magnificent views. This is the perfect place to sit and enjoy a sundowner whilst watching the ever changing sunsets over the Aegean. The views really are stunning looking out to sea and across Yalikavak .A table and chairs, plus sun loungers are here for guest use.
At the far end of the lounge is the kitchen which is modern and well equipped for holiday or long term living and fitted with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer etc.The master double bedroom has an en-suite shower room and the twin bedroom has an adjoining shower room. The apartment is decorated throughout with light wood furniture and has tiled flooring, this completes the light and airy feel. There are air conditioning units fitted in all rooms. A few minutes walk down hill are Yalikavak's famous fish restaurant, which is a 'village' itself offering a variety of restaurants nestled by the water serving fresh fish, as you would expect!.
Wi-fi is provided by mobile modem device. This has a 3G Wi-Fi modem which is topped up with credit when required. When credit runs out the connection slows and guests are required to contact the local property manager and she will top up the device. Feedback from guests is that the 3G gives good and fast connectivity, even during the busy period in July and August. This is not a suitable connection for streaming films, TV, downloading photos and data etc because it uses full months allowance in a day or two. However, this wi-fi device is perfect for keeping in touch via emails, browsing the internet, internet banking, Skype etc.

“Great views but disappointing location”
The apartment is beautiful and has amazing views, however it is hard to get around without the use of a car as it is a very steep walk up from the main road. We found the area to be more expensive than other areas of Turkey and the inability to walk to places frustrating. We had a few problems in the apartment, which the local agent dealt with extremely quickly, however the apartment isn't in a tourist area it is located more in a residential part, and there were no other holiday makers around to interact with. The sea in this area can be quite rough, which ruled out boat trips for us due to sea sickness. I think we have been spoilt by Kalkan which we thought Yalikavak would be similar to, however it is not.

Response from the manager Dear Marianne, really pleased you found the apartment beautiful and the views amazing, which they are indeed. Views like these often mean you are on a hill and the adverts for this apartment do state 'car advisable', even though the apartment itself is walkable into the centre of Yalikavak itself in 20 mins or so. Also, it is a short walk to the fish restaurant 'village' area of the town. There are plenty of apartments for rent right in the centre of Yalikavak, but many are not presented as well as Marina View neither do they have the view as they are on the flat. Yalikavak can be breezy at times because it is on a Peninsula, not land locked and sheltered as Kalkan is. During high season, the breeze is often welcomed, it is also a few degrees cooler than Kalkan in the Bodrum Peninsula, which again is welcomed in July and August. We know Kalkan well, Yalikavak too, many guests who rent from us are those who 'migrate' from Kalkan and become repeat guests. Yalikavak has a very mixed clientele, not so many British as Kalkan has and, it still retains its traditional Turkish charm. It appears from your compliments, you liked the property and views, but Yalikavak as as location compared to Kalkan, is not for you. It is good to experience different locations and that is what you did. Hope you enjoy the rest of summer

“Fantastic apartment, amazing view and great location!”
I travelled to Yalikavak and stayed at Marina View with my boyfriend and 2 sisters. The booking process couldn't have been made easier by Annie and Ian. Communication was great throughout and the pre-departure information that was given was most useful. On arrival in Yalikavak we met with the local contact to be given the apartment keys - Sara was again most helpful and friendly. The apartment itself was clean, tidy and perfect for our needs. The view was fantastic - right out across the marina! We spent a lot of time by the shared pool and made friends with many the people there - most of them Turkish and many also on their holidays. The apartment is located about a 10 minute drive from the centre of Yalikavak and is even closer to many amenities such as supermarkets etc. I would definitely recommend this apartment and using this company. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back to Marina View.

“The best views on the Bodrum Peninsula”
My wife and I stayed here for a week in July. The apartment has the most fantastic view of Yalikavak. We spent hours on the spacious balcony admiring the view which includes the new marina and also the Greek Islands . The apartment is clean, beautifully furnished and has all that you need for a comfortable stay. We were nice and close to Yalikavak and it's wonderful restaurants but also centrally located to explore the entire Bodrum peninsula. I would undoubtedly be looking to return next year !

“Fantastic views, spacious, clean, fully equipped apartment.”
Originally booked the apartment for 2. The booking process was easy and the contacts couldn't have been more helpful and friendly, especially as I changed the booking so many times. The pre-arranged car hire was dealt with quickly at the airport and 5 of us arrived at the apartment. There was plenty of room for all of us and the apartment was fully equipped with everything one would need. The apartment has a lovely balcony overlooking the whole bay of Yalikavac, where we spent most of our time when at the apartment. A car is recommended as you are up quite a steep hill but if you choose not to have a car there are plenty of buses that go past the bottom of the hill to the apartment. Yalikavac town has lots to offer, plenty of traditional restaurants on and around the seafront, especially in the new and old marina where they cater for all tastes. We explored a little of the area and liked the bay at Turkbuku where we spent a very relaxing day. We left Yalikavac reluctantly, wishing we had longer to stay but knowing we would return. Thank you to Nick, Alison, Annie and Sarah for making it a lovely holiday.
