Description
This cottage is one of Daphnes ten villas which are found within the boundaries of the National Marine Park of Zakynthos in Greece, just above Porto Roma Beach on the Vassilikos peninsula.
The cottage with two bedrooms has a well equipped small kitchen, furnished veranda and private garden and is set in a large olive grove away from the road. The beautiful and safe garden with lots of flowers emphasizes the over all atmosphere of peace and quiet.
There is a BBQ with herb garden.
A reception with internet access(WiFi) and a library with books and magazines, also games, beach gear, bicycles etc.
A hundred meters (or a 3 minute walk) down the road you will find Zakynthos' most relaxing little beach; Porto Roma.
Within a five minutes walk from Daphnes villas, up the little road, there is a mini market, three taverns, one coffee bar, car rental and also a small hotel with a swimming pool and tennis court open for all.
You are only a twenty minute walk away from another sandy shallow beach (Gerakas Turtle beach). The green hills of Vasilikos with macchia and pine forest are just above with easy paths for jogging and walks.
The temperature in Zakynthos ranges between 20-35 degrees and the water temperature between 18-30 degrees.
We, Maria and Dionysis Tsilimigras, started building Daphnes villas in 1986. Dionysis is from Athens and Maria is from Stockholm, Sweden.

The cottage sleeps up to 5 people and a baby and is perfect for larger families or a couple looking for some space.
There are two bedrooms and a small well equipped kitchen, there is one bathroom with shower and pleasant comfortable sitting area on the large furnished terrace.
There are two sunbeds and a hammock to put up in the shade under the trees or on the terrace. There are fans and a/c without extra cost.
The BBQ is in the garden with herbs and lemons to pick.

The building is designed in the traditional Zakynthian country style with exposed beams, large private terrace and tiled roof.
There is a playground for the children and lots of space in the garden to put up your hammock, play boccia or badminton.
The surroundings are perfect for nature walks, cross country cycling and jogging.
Swimming pool and tennis court is available at 350 meters distance (5 minute walk).

The cottages are self catered but a cleaning service twice a week as well as final cleaning service is included in the rent.

“Heaven on Earth”
Exquisitely beautiful surroundings and proximity to the beach was ideal. It was quiet for teenagers but they relaxed and felt very at home. Maria our host was delightful and extremely attentive and considerate in helping us with any information we needed or booking a car and boat trip. The villa was beautifully clean and the staff around the villas were charming and gracious. We loved it!
