Description

This cottage is one of Daphnes ten villas which are found within the boundaries of the National Marine Park of Zakynthos in Greece, just above Porto Roma Beach on the Vassilikos peninsula.

Our cozy one bedroom cottage is set in a large olive grove away from the road, only 100 meters from quiet Porto Roma beach, taverns and a mini-market. A beautiful garden with much private space & lots of flowers. A pool open to all is available just up the road. We offer yoga and Wine tasting lessons.

There is a BBQ with herb garden.

A reception with internet access(WiFi) and a library with books and magazines, also games, beach gear, bicycles etc.

A hundred meters (or a 3 minute walk) down the road you will find Zakynthos' most relaxing little beach; Porto Roma.

Within a five minutes walk from Daphnes villas, up the little road, there is a mini market, three taverns, one coffee bar, car rental and also a small hotel with a swimming pool and tennis court open for all.

You are only a twenty-minute walk away from another sandy shallow beach (Gerakas Turtle beach). The green hills of Vasilikos with macchia and pine forest are just above with easy paths for jogging and walks.

The temperature in Zakynthos ranges between 20-35 degrees and the water temperature between 18-30 degrees.

We, Maria and Dionysis Tsilimigras, started building Daphnes villas in 1986. Dionysis is from Athens and Maria is from Stockholm, Sweden.

Getting around

Exploring the island of Zakynthos! Daphnes is situated 15 kilometres from Zakynthos town and 12 kilometres from Argassi, the nearest resort. During the summer there is a four times daily bus service from Porto Roma to Zakynthos town, tickets cost about 2 Euro. You can also use the local bus to reach other beaches in Vassilikos. Any information you need is available in the cottages. Taxis are cheap and plentiful. Car hire and bicycle hire can be arranged thru us.

We, Dionysis and Maria, have built and run Daphnes villas since 1987. You can find us every morning and evening(except Sundays) at our reception. We are happy to inform you about our island, to arrange car rental, boat trips and more... For any emergency we are always available.

House rules

We have Quiet Time 2-5pm(siesta) and 11pm-9am.
We appreciate that our guests help us with recycling and composting, and use water and electricity with respect to the environment.
The cottages are self catered but a cleaning service twice a week as well as final cleaning service is included in the rent.
