“Returning as soon as possible!” Connie and John's studio is a 5 minute walk from the sea, and the taverns on the water as well as people who run them offer great food and wonderful hospitality to visitors, at extremely affordable prices. In fact, they didn't even ask us to pay for the umbrellas and sun beds and brought our drinks and food right down to our sunbeds for us. Coming from Italy, where we usually pay up to 25 Euros a day for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella, that says a lot. The studio is perfect for two, though we managed to get three people into it by placing a third mattress into the room thanks to the caretakers that added one for us, as our third traveller was a last minute addition. It was crowded with three but definitely doable. The aC worked well, and we were all very happy to spend a too short week in the studio with its sea views. No mosquitos! Not one. Yet another plus. In fact, I'm returning in October, though I just went in august. Luckily, I'm just a 2 hour flight away, and thought this was my first trip to Crete, it definitely won't be my last. The town of Kalamki is about 7 kilometers from the major city of Chania, a lovely once Venetian outpost, with it's colorful markets, shops, and eateries. The beach in Kalamaki is somewhat protected from wind and waves, and pretty calm and clear, though even more spectacular beaches can be reached by car and tour bus, anywhere from one to two hour's away. Plenty of things to do on the island, and a car is the best way to go, though there are plenty of other options. More populated beach towns with large hotels and droves of tourists are set just off to both sides of Kalamaki but my instincts served me well and I felt as though I had landed in the perfect spot. I can't say enough. I'm defninitely a fan. Just about everyone speaks English fluently on the island, which is also a plus if you're concerned about the language.

“Beautiful and Comfortable Villa Levantes” Our adult family of five’s stay in Villa Levantes was excellent. The villa is like the pictures but much more beautiful in real life. The spectacular views from the villa decks and windows of the mountains and Nopigia beach were breathtaking. We enjoyed the rural setting with its very clean air, the olive groves, the goats on the mountain and the sheep and lambs romping in the field below. As well the landscaping around the villas is cleverly done so you are surrounded by beauty everywhere. The villa itself is well designed with lots of private spaces. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you need for serious cooking. The bedrooms, living room and kitchen are all spacious, very comfortable and well designed. Our family felt at home immediately. Haris, Stefanos and their mother welcomed us to the villa with an amazing selection of Cretan delights of fruit, wine, beverages, pastries, breads etc. They also decorated the villa for Christmas and brought special homemade dessert on Christmas day so it was extra special to be there over the holidays. “Most fantastic villa!!!” We had a wonderful week at Villa Clio. Everything was just perfect. Stunning sea view. Very romantic to see the sun go down over the sea every night. Fantastic pool. Extremely clean and excellent service from the owner. We really did not want to leave the place at all to go to Chania or the nearby most wonderful beaches of Crete. “Super famely villa with great view and fantastic service close t” The house is great for 2 or 3 families together. 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms is perfect. The pool area has a lot of space, and you can moove the sun beds around if you want a little breece from the sea or not. The service is fantastic and the house will be cleaned two times a week. The people who rent out this villa are great. The owner met us in the middle of the night in the airport, and drive with us to the villa. It is tavernas in the area, and it is only 25 minutes driving to Chania sentrum. When you rent a car, you will be free to drive to all the nice places in the area. We rented this villa and our cars from George in chania-vacation.com and he did a great job. We recommend him! We will call him again when we will visit Crete.

“Cosy hotel near a very nice beach” Elmas Dream Apartments is a small but very nice hotel. If you want to relax there is absolutely no stress there. A very relaxed atmosphere and Andreas (the owner) is always willing to help you if neccesary. And serve you a Greek beer or another drink at the bar. It is not in the center but you can easily walk or catch a bus there. And just behind it there is a fantastic Beach. Dont hesitate to go there!
