“Very close to alton Towers” Ideal location for alton Towers. Good size property. Kitchen nice and large. Family friendly accomodation. Good size garden and parking. Good communication and helpfulness from owners. Overall experience very good minor issue with showers {Used to power shower} and would have liked more towels. Nice touches with games etc and a welcome pack with local info. Village was a mile away and no pavements for us Townies need a car if you have children.

“An all round first class house and location.” Indoor facilities first class. Bags of space without ten of us "living on top of each other" Good pub doing huge meals at good prices only walking distance away. The week we were at Ipstones was not good but the log fire with no restrictions on use of logs was a first class bonus. No shortage of facilities in the catering - loads of cooking utensils and glasses etc. All ion all a very pleasurable and memorable stay.

“Perfect for a get together!” Bottomhouse barn has wonderful communal areas so great for friends or family getting together. Huge kitchen with long table and cosy living room with 3 sofas around the fire. Bedrooms and bathrooms also great - highly recommended!

“charming cottage linked to farmhouse in restful, rural location.” We enjoyed the location, convenient for exploring the region - surrounded by fields but, being joined to the owner's farmhouse, it did not feel isolated. The cottage faced a concrete yard, field and barns (rustic - not chocolate box so could do with 'softening' a bit for holiday purposes - grassy garden behind (didn't use this so don't know if it would have suited families). The cottage was charming and larger than expected. We took advantage of a slight discount but on arrival realised it was probably given as the adjacent barn was being converted into a cottage - it would not have deterred us but would have appreciated knowing that in advance. As we were using the cottage as a base for exploring the region it didn't inconvenience us but may have done if we were planning just a quiet retreat. We would be happy to go back again.

“We enjoyed a lovely week” Small but beautifully formed. This cottage is perfect for two people to enjoy a wonderful holiday in fabulous surroundings. The owner Ken could not have been more helpful, everything worked and we relaxed completely. The walking is great both from the door and from a short drive away. We would not hesitate to recommend it.

“A fabulous family holiday, great for all ages” A lovely cottage, within walking distance of alton Towers for 4 20+ year-olds. We had a lovely relaxing weekend while they were all out! “Pet friendly and peaceful.” A delightful, cosy cottage ideal for a peaceful break. Our dogs were made to feel very welcome. Situated on a farm, there were lots of places to walk and a very good pub serving excellent food was within walking distance. The addition of coal and other fire making materials made the cottage warm and cosy once the night set in. The Dales are only a short drive away along with quaint market towns that have quirky shops and lots of cafes.

“Excellant and comfortable break” Superb accomodation. Excellant location for alton Towers, walking distance and saved hassle of parking. Accomodation was very spacious and ample room for 8 adults and 2 children. Great having the 4 bathrooms. The scenery surrounding the cottage was breath taking and created a very relaxing atmosphere making us feel rested after out holiday. The living area was spacious and plenty room for all to sit comfortably.

“Lovely stay” Brookley Barn is a pretty cottage to enjoy your holiday. The atmosphere at the farm is very casual but not intrusive. There is always someone who wants a friendly chat or you wants to show you around the farm. Children will have a great time here. Keep in mind that Brookley Barn is on a working farm. There are cows and chickens wandering around, the pig's are nearby, there are dogs and cats who love attention. But it is a tidy farm and the animals also know their place. They will not be of any inconvenience, we have just utterly enjoyed it. The cottage itself is complete and very neat. Nearby there is plenty to do and see. Definitely recommended!

“Home from Home” lvely cottage with much thought into every details. The welcome was lovelt with the wine & cheese. Lovely & warm and the views from the livivng room windows are breath taking.The bed was so comfy. Very easy to get about & the fish & Chips from the local village was lovelt too.
