“Dream Holiday!” We stayed at Casa Loma last summer and had an effortlessly reviving experience. This place is minutes (on foot!) from some of the most beautiful beaches in Puerto! It's absolutely clean and safe due to the watchful attention of a lovely housekeeper and regal gentleman gardener in his 80's :) !! The best thing about this place is the roof terrace with two levels of ocean-viewing bliss, two hammocks, lounging furniture, table and chairs and ample room to do your morning yoga practice or sip on fresh juice while sunbathing in privacy (read: naked). By the way, the kitchen is fully stocked, nothing special but absolutely fine. With the nightlife, seafood and tacos around town, you won't be eating in too often! But, if you do--Casa Loma is minutes away from the grocery store and many other small bodegas as well as a block from a cute, family-owned internet "cafe" (not a cafe so much as a room with ancient monitors and stiff chairs...which is good b/c you didn't come to Mexico to be online...right?) The design of the place is super cute too, with bright, festive accents. Chuck and Mary (the owners that you'll deal with upon renting) seem thoughtful and definitely knowledgeable about Mexican culture and Puerto in general. They're world travelers themselves and seem to earnestly want to make your stay great and easy. We rented a scooter for a few days and zipped around the countryside. I suggest you stay at Casa Loma and do the same!

“Paradise!” My husband and I stayed in the blue villa for three nights. It was absolutely amazing! It was the most breathtaking place I have ever stayed at and we miss it! The home is flawless. The most amazing feature is the view. You are looking onto a cliff and all around you are amazing birds and we even saw a whale in the ocean in front of us! Amazing!

Outstanding holidays

Not many words are needed to explain that outstanding place. Just book it and fly. We did it and for sure we ll come back every year with our kids, friends and their kids. It cannot be better than there. The villa is an amazing construction with all comfort and a lot of space and luxury. The beds are exceptional big and the bathrooms fully equipped. For a group up to 18 people its more than comfortable. The huge pool fits a lot more guests... The chef is a professional and great experienced in healthy food and seafood. I loved his Thai Food. Healthy & Fun!

Staying at The Sanctuary changed my life. I thought I was only in for some health juices and learning a little yoga and meditation on the beach, but instead I had the chance to become a part of a community working together in learning and teaching. I've never felt so good physically as I did during my two week stay at The Sanctuary, thanks to the breathing work, the yoga, and the healthy diet. I thought I would never survive without meat or cheese, but instead it was actually really easy! Architectural dream.

Good thing the weather is usually mild in Oaxaca cuz our big ceiling to floor sliding windows open up to a tiled patio that was just right for a little late night mescal. We had all the amenities yet felt like we were a part of this authentic Mexicana experience that no one else could possibly know exists. It was a very personal adventure although the stairs leading to our front door are not handicapped accessible, but good for us. tropical elegance in a sleepy fishing village

Thank you, Leigh, for creating such a beautiful place to share with discerning travelers! We just came back from 10 days in her very special home in beach paradise that brings the best of Western comforts to the simplicity of Mexican village life. The house is set back enough from the beach and road to feel private but close enough to hear the thunderous crashing of the waves and breathe in the ocean air. Just about every amenity has been accounted for, even sun block and natural mosquito repellants in case you forgot them. The attention to detail in the woodwork throughout the home has even inspired us for our own home renovations. If you're not familiar with San Agustinillo all you need to know is that it's a sleepy fishing village turned mellow vacation town that offers excellent beachfront restaurants (that include top notch pizza and vegetarian venues), great swimming, boogie boarding and surfing, and boat rides pretty much guaranteed to bring you to dolphins, sea turtles and manta rays, not to mention a cache of seafood to take home and cook in Casa Mihale's well-equipped kitchen. Great stay.

We loved our stay at Linda and Alejandro's home. House very spacious. Had lots of company and had lots of room in and out of house.The pool was amazing. Jeanette available to take care of any needs. The owners ALWAYS available as well. All the people taking care of home are great as well. Area is very quiet. Far enough away from busy area but close enough we walked there often for groceries or out for supper. I think my only negative is patio furniture starting to show its age.
