The house is outstanding, location is great, view from every
room is amazing, is decorated like a house from a luxury magazine but keeps its homey, comfortable feel. Definitely has the wow factor! Called linen svc & maintenance when
first arrived, everything was resolved immediately. Close to
town, right on the running/bike trail. The NC aquarium in

We didn't want to go home!! The chairs on the deck are amazingly comfortable! Wish I could find them for our backyard-but, then again, just wouldn't be the same without the same vista!! My biggest worry was where to relax!! Loved the gazebo by the ocean. But those comfy chairs not there- but there were comfy cushions there! Under the deck was a great place to hide from the kids for a short time or in the rain!!! Decisions, decisions!!! Great house!! We did have an ant issue and someone stopped by the first day- apparently housekeeping reported it or the previous tenants. But they couldn't find any so didn't treat. (why not?? Wish they had gone ahead and sprayed or left traps??) The ants came back-in an army-and we called for service and no one ever came back-disappointing. So, we attempted to treat them ourselves while waiting fir service and just put up with them and paid for them to have a beach front stay!! Wish the service for that had been better!! But, really didn't affect our vacation- we rolled with it!

Solid doors and good insulation kept LR noise to a minimum for those who like to sleep in. Covered porch at the end of the boardwalk was a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the beach yet be out of the sun. Kitchen was roomy enough for 3 cooks, and well equipped. Picnic table on deck has an umbrella for pleasant coffee or lunch spot. Breathtaking ocean views from every room in the house. Upstairs MBR mattress was too soft, but that was the only complaint, and the complainant got used to it by the end of the week. Not far from the city tennis courts and playground.

Daydream has a wonderful open feeling with views of the beach from everywhere on the main floor. The ocean front gazebo is a wonderful place for the family to gather in the evening and enjoy the beautiful view. Great kitchen, masterbath and plenty of seating for meals and game time. Outside shower!!!

We loved the set up of Daydream and how you could see the ocean from anywhere on the main floor. Every room was cozy and made us feel right at home. The huge kitchen made it so easy to prepare meals.

We rented this home the Week of July 18-25, 2009. Daydream was listed as a "gold" property and it certainly deserves this rating! Home was beautifully decorated and included the amenities you hope to be included with this rating. Our favorite features included:
1.KITCHEN--Kitchen was stocked!!! Included quality pats/pans, service ware, cooking utensils, dishes, grill accessories... KNIVES!! Large Kitchen table was fun for group meals and games.
2.FAMILY ROOM?Home included a sizable family room (with beautiful ocean view) where we gathered for TV (flat screen HD) and movies, puzzles, games.
3.DECK--Outside the deck space was amazing? included 2 rockers, 2 chaise lounges 2 upright chairs (for my old back) 2 reclining chairs and a large table with umbrella. All chairs had a clean comfortable cushion!! The covered gazebo at the end of the dock gave folks another option for enjoying the beach (also included comfortable cushions!).
4.LAYOUT--Home had no T.V or internet upstairs? which was GREAT for us! May not work for other families, but we LOVED this feature. Teenagers had to hang out with the rest of the family, or enjoy a book upstairs. Open loft area provided another space for hanging out.(Second TV w/ DVD in downstairs Master if you need a back up)
Hope the owners will be able maintain the beauty and quality of this home.... it was very special treat for us. Thank you!

This home was very nice. The only complaint we have is the construction going on next door that started at 7:00 am every morning. The noise woke us up and wasn't particularly pleasant throughout the day.

Daydream is a lovely home on the ocean. The owners always seem to make upgrades with taste and style. The layout of the home is great for families - everyone is part of the action. It has beautiful ocean views and the gazebo is a great place to get away from the direct sun but still enjoy the sea and sand. Emerald Isle Realty takes great care of us - courteously and efficiently. When there's a small problem, they respond quickly. The concierge service has been helpful as well. Emerald Isle has some wonderful restaurants, shopping and golf opportunities plus friendly people! We love it and we can't imagine a year without going there.. it's been 27 years so far!!
