Service was good. Duplex home was comfortable and relaxing with beautiful access to sound and beach, and quick access to the wedding that we were attending a few cottages down the road. Thus, for our family, it was a perfect location. For the most part, the home was neat and tidy. However, laminated wood floors had recently been installed and our very active baby started finding nail bits, so we had to do a thorough sweeping. Upon check-out, informed Emerald Isle Realty so that housekeeping could thoroughly clean both floors of the duplex homes. Though not requested, Emerald Isle quickly mailed us a refund check for housekeeping services. This was very much appreciated! Thank you!

This cottage has everything you need for a great beach getaway. If you are looking for a nice place to spend some lazy days this is a comfortable place. Not fancy, but well kept and I would definitely rent this again.

This year my family and I stayed at Fincannon 5 East for a week. We absolutley loved it. The house itself was great. We all fit comfortably and it was just like being home. We will definitly be back to stay at Fincannon 5!!

The location of our house was great. Plus, the view was excellent! However, the house was not cleaned well at all upon our arrival. Whoever cleaned the house (the two girls, I forget their names) must have missed the back porch. We found crushed up dog bones and treats, which was pretty disgusting. The bathrooms, particularly the showers, were not very clean either.

I wish you would have called our office upon arrival to let us know the bathrooms and rear porch needed to be cleaned more efficiently. I was visiting for my son's wedding and had my mom, dauther, 4 granddaughters and great-grandson with me. The house was perfect for us. Great view of the sound from the beautiful porch. I had an issue with the linen supplier not getting back to me in a timely fashion when I first arrived but I would recommend Emerald Isle Realty to anyone coming to the NC coast.

TThe service we received was good. The home was nice as far as the bedding situation and the living room and dinning area were nice. Our problem with the home was that online and in the brochure it said it had a nice dock, where there was NO dock, no backyard for the kids to play in, and the back door stairs are very dangerous. The bathroom in the master bedroom was so small, my husband could not even move around there was no error in dropping the soap for sure. Our side had no broom to sweep the sand, the door was broke and would slam shut every time used. When we got there, there was a trash can and chairs sitting in the middle of the kitchen floor where someone had been repairing the floor. There was also a dirty glass with a spoon in it on the kitchen counter. The sink was dirty and the place looked as if it hadn't been used or dusted in a while. My sister from Michigan rented the other side and we were both very disappointed with our decision on this home. I would not recommend this home especially to a family with kids.

The home was very comfortable and met our family needs in an excellent manner. I loved the time on the porch overlooking the sound. We were able to enjoy the lovely sunrises and sunsets over the water. My grandchildren enjoyed catching crabs and going claming in the sound. I appreciated being centrally located on the island. The home was clean and inviting when we arrived.
