We rented this house for our whole family to celebrate our mother's 80th birthday. It was a wonderful location--easy walk to the point, and south-facing for spectacular sunrise and sunset views. The house had almost all the amenities we needed/wanted: fully equipped kitchen (with lots of utensils, pots, pans, bowls, etc.) for our many eager chefs and for a big Thanksgiving meal; elevator and accessible bathroom/bedroom for our disabled father; game room/pool table for our teens; ocean views from many angles in the kitchen and living area; functioning hot tub for late night relaxation; big farm table to seat all 13 of us for our Thanksgiving dinner; plenty of beds, baths, linens, and towels; two refrigerators plus a bar fridge in the basement; two dishwashers (so essential!); nice screened porch (which wasn't so useful for the fall/winter but which would be great in the summer); easy boardwalk to the beach. The only minor things lacking were a toaster oven for quick reheating and a supply of hot pads. Otherwise, this was a perfect rental for our family. We hope to return some day!

We have been coming to Breezy for 10 years.
We love the house and it's unsurpassed access to the ocean and ocean views! It is a joy to vacation in this house!
Our family has created many fond memories here!
The past 2 years we've also greatly enjoyed having access to the Dolphin Ridge Clubhouse and pool. The younger kids love the pool and we all enjoy the food they serve there. A fun addition to Breezy life!

Spectacular ocean view, at dead end of road, no traffic, private club with pool and snack bar just 100 yds from back door, multiple seating areas in and outdoors to visit and catch up, outside shower near basement door for hot/cold bath, many entertainment facilities in the home with huge playroom and eating counter with fridge and TV, spacious bedrooms with excellent mattresses and additional bedding if needed, excellently stocked kitchen equipment and supplies and a huge pantry plus double fridges and dishwashers, good washer and dryer, sturdy elevator from basement to main floor, plenty of hot water, plenty of seating for kids and adults to eat at the same time, long concrete drive for safe playing on children's toys as scooter or skates, great a/c system, tons of windows for daylight and view of ocean, hot tub cleaned twice during our week there, ate out only once at great restaurant in Swansboro on Front street at dead end in upstairs facility (not remember name), but accomodated my special dietary needs and those of vegan guests. Can I say more? If I lived closer, it would be my yearly desired vacation home. Our visit was a reunion, after 30 years, of two families who shared a beach basement apt. at atlantic Beach when our boys were young. Breezy Cottage was excellent for our grandchildren to play while adults had plenty of quiet space to share old times. You can not go wrong with Breezy Cottage. Bring your own beach equipment or rent it. Best Golf Course is Star Hill in Cartaret on main road (?Hwy 24 toward Morehead). 27 holes and online reservations possible - about 10 min. from cottage.

Quiet week at the beach, everything worked in the house, and what I had problems with, EIR fixed immediately (figuring out how to work the grill and fireplace, refilling the gas).

The welcome was great, loved the ice cream. We like the location, and are used to staying there. The cottage does need some uupdating, especially the carpets and some of the furniture.

Our family has been spending a week at Emerald Isle since 1970. There are now 17 of us and we traveled from Oregon, Chicago, IL, Dallas, TX and Richmond, Va to be together. We love staying in Breezy Cottage, location, size, amenities are all wonderful. We enjoyed lots of local seafood. (Wish fishing was better). Plan to return again next summer for our family gathering.

We had a wonderful week at EI. This was our 21st year sharing EI with family and friends. And the 4th year in Breezy Cottage. The house has been maintained and appropriately upgraded. Breezy Cottage is well equipped for big family meals (we gather with friends staying at an adjacent house). There is plenty of room for socializing and playing UNO, LRC and apples to apples. The mid week cleaning service is a plus. Thanks EI Realty for great service and another great week full of EI memories.

The breezy was awesome everything about it perfect kitchen nice wide open. We had 7 women there for a girls week. like the short walk to beach. Cant say enough about it we are gonna plan another trip there and hopefully we can stay in the same house. Cant wait to go back thanks breezy it was awesome.

We are frequent vacationers to Emerald Isle and have used Emerald Isle Realty with friends multiple times, but this was our first trip with our elderly parents and our college kids. The house was beautifully appointed and well kept, the kitchen exceptional with an ocean view while cooking and gathering, and the elevator and screened in porch a must for the grandparents. And as luck would have it we had a perfect week of weather on a beautiful stretch of beach - everyone is already talking about when we can return. A special thanks to Susan at the real estate office for her exceptional service in helping me find the perfect house!

My daughters and their families (we have 4 grandchildren now!) have joined
me and their stepdad at Breezy every September for the past 8 years. We
even have a beach drink we concocted while we were there several years
ago and named it Breezy! :-)
We love being right on the ocean where we can see the water, the
dolphins, and the kites flying! We also have great fun in the hot tub and
playing ping pong in the basement. The kitchen is fabulous!
We have consistently received excellent service from the realty staff and
prompt attention to any problems, which have been few.
The only remedies still needed are a better gas grill-the one there cooks
verrrry slowly- and the ice machine would not make a reasonable amount
of ice this year.
If you want a fabulous house to rent- this is it!
Our only major complaint has to do with the change in the town ordinance
which moved driving on the beach to Sept 15th from Oct 1. It is a hazard
with children and there were many children on the beach besides ours. I'm
sure EI Realty has a great deal of influence in town politics- please
advocate get the driving moved back to Oct. 1.

This house was gorgeous. The kitchen is amazing, great for cooking for big groups. The decor is really nice, MUCH nicer than most beach houses where we have stayed. We didn't use the hot tub much as it was August and really hot but in cooler weather I think it would be a big bonus. We did have problems with TV in main room: FOUR remotes but none worked DVD player. We have small children so we kind of used the DVD player a lot. The neighborhood is really close to everything in Emerald Isle so it's quick to get anywhere. This house is not cheap in season but if you want to splurge you will not be disappointed. I would love to go back next year.

accomodations were fine. the hot tub was an issue. i know maintenance of these non essential items is difficult but we invited guests to travel in for a visit with this in mind. your service personnel were called 3 times to service the hot tub but to no avail. this was part retreat, part work for me and guests. highly sensitive/confidential work nature and can not afford to have service personnel constantly inside the property during our alloted time.

Six longtime girlfriends of mine spent a birthday weekend at Breezy. I
wanted to contribute something for dinner but had not brought along
my surf fishing rod. I noticed several fishermen on the beach having
very good luck with their fishing and went to talk to them. One of the
fishermen offered me 3 large fish for our dinner! We cooked them up
and had a feast. My friends laughed about how I had "caught" dinner

Eight of us stayed at Breezy Cottage for a week over Christmas and found it perfect in every way. We were amazed at the conveniences that came with the house. It was wonderful waking up in the morning and watching the sun rises. The sunsets were just as spectacular. Food shopping was not too far away either. If we could afford it we would definitely come back in the summer.
