We took our parents, our dog and our children to Emerald Isle and stayed at Bobby's Beach barn. Our vacation was awesome, there was plenty of extra beds in the closets so we could put all the kids in the the upstairs king bedroom. There were plenty of storage for all of our things and we loved the beach cart and extra toys there for the kids. We didn't need anything but ourselves and food. The walk to the beach was great, the walk back was a little long, but we enjoyed every minute of our stay!

We truely enjoyed the Beach Barn and the short walk to the beach. It was very peaceful and relaxing compared to many other beaches and rentals we have been to. It will be the place we choose to bring our family for years to come.

There is nothing the owners did not think of to make the stay enjoyable. I felt like some really good friends let my family use their beach house for a week. Furthermore, Emerald Isle Realty was wonderful to deal with--the express check-in and out was the bomb.

This was our first vacation rental experience. The furnishings are comfortable, the kitchen is pretty well supplied. The deck has a gate on it so the dog can hang out outside. We enjoyed it very much.
Locals recommended working with Emerald Isle Realty, and they were wonderful. Check-in and Check-out couldn't be easier.
It is a bit far from the beach, we only walked one way, one day. The beach cart was helpful, but once we were tired from playing on the beach, and hauling all our gear from the cart across the boardwalk and the sand, we sent a driver back to the house for the car, and loaded everything into it and drove back.
We ended up using bottled water or water filtered through the fridge for our drinking water needs as the water from the tap was awful.Response from Emerald Isle Realty, Inc - 01/12/2012

The house was ideally situated for us--between beach and go-carting, mini-golf and restaurants. Great place to bring your dog--lots of clean streets and beach to walk miles on. We brought kayaks--had plenty of room to keep them under the house when we didn't want to transport them. Everyone had plenty of space to relax apart and together. Dishwasher wasn't replaced when we thought it would be, but not a big problem. Had a leak from upstairs bath but maintenance fixed it a day or so. Service was great. I would definitely recommend this to everyone seeking a family retreat. I think it was our best family vacation to date!

We went to Emerald Isle in June and came back the first week of July. Our stay at Bobby's Beach Barn was unbelievable. The house was pristine, everything worked without a hitch, the linens were clean, and there were so many beach accessories in the storage downstairs so you dont have to bring a lot with you. The only downside for us was the amount of bugs while sitting on the deck upstairs ,and the wooden deck furniture made us itchy. Also, it was a bit of a hike to the beack (about 18 houses away) Otherwise, everything else was perfect. Wouldn't hesitate to go back!

Very comfortable. Well appointed interiors with updated gadgets and appliances. Excellent location in relation to town. 10 min. walk to beach - hand pulled trolley was very useful and made it easy. Great neighborhood and pet friendly too. Further attention to landscaping around the house would would add more appeal.

This was an awesome place to stay! It was very clean and the owners have put a lot of thought into what will make their renters comfortable. Large beds with confortable mattresses that were already made up for us! The appliances all seemed new and there was everything you needed in the kitchen to prepare three meals a day. The deck had great furniture and the fact that it had a gate at the top of the stairs for our dogs so they could stay out on the deck with us. Quiet neighborhood that was perfect for walking them around. Our boys loved that there was wireless internet! We loved our stay and would visit again! I highly recommend Bobby's Beach Barn.

The house was very dog friendly, enclosed wrap around porch, tiles on first
floor, woods in back. The walk to the beach was a little long, about 10
minutes, but not a problem in the cool weather. Easy access to beach from
street. The house was nicely furnished and the kitchen was well equipped for
cooking breakfast and lunch. Our dog loved it and would rent again!!

This is a great place to go if you are looking for beautiful beaches and a quiet experience. It was a moderate to long walk to the beach, but a straight shot and the beach cart made it easy. Location is close to grocery store and some restaraunts and very nice neighborhood. Make sure you get the second key from the realty company so you can unlock the shed with the beach cart--we had to make a trip back to the place to get it. The house is nice with new appliances and well decorated rooms. It would have been nice to have a rug of some sort over the tile downstairs. Overall, we loved Emerald Isle and the realty company and hope to come back soon.

Had a good time. House was nice but I wouldn't rate it Gold. (They had a leak over the winter and there was a somewhat moldy/stale smell.) They should also have a check list in prepping the house for the season - a number of things were not hooked up and/or not working and we were the first to use the house so we had to call the agency. The agency was quick to respond.
The house was further from the beach than we expected - but that's not their fault - Google mapped it 1/2 block from the beach access. It's more like 2-3 blocks - still not bad. Beautiful stretch of beach and very quiet.Response from Emerald Isle Realty, Inc - 01/12/2012
