This is a spectacular location on the narrow strip on Emerald Isle. Not only are first row ocean, you couldn't be closer. You can also see the bay on the other side out of the back bedroom windows. A major plus is that it is single story. It is a smaller unit, and older, but we really liked the spot. It is about an eight minute drive to the stores and restaurants in Emerald Isle.

We all enjoyed this house very much. It was our favorite that we've rented so far, and we would love to be able to stay there again. The house was well laid out to maximize the usage of the space. The rooms were well furnished and comfortable. There were beach chairs and other items available for our use, as well as games to enjoy inside. The TV in the Living Room was very nice with the surround sound, and there were several cd player/boom boxes, also.
The kitchen lacked a lot of essential items needed for meal prep and serving, but there was a crockpot. There were no potholders and the frying pans were very worn. There weren't many drinking glasses or serving bowls, or storage containers.
The deck was very nice and had a gate to keep the dogs in.

Took our 85 yr old godmother for first trip to beach. She loved it and we have created a very special memory. House was clean. Needed cookware,dishes etc. were stocked. The living room and kitchen a little small for all of us and a hndicapped person but that's not rentals fault.

we had a great time and the weather was very agreeable. Got some much needed r &r.; The only issue I have was that the bed was not very comfortable, but all in all I would like to visit again soon.

Fit our needs very well (2) and appreciated being able to bring our dog. Kitchen well enough stocked (needs can opener); deck is great off of main bedroom. Master bath in need of repair (wall paneling); other bath very nice. Carpeting definitely needs a thorough cleaning as do vents and kitchen grates. Bikes and beach umbrellas were great to have. We'll give it a "6"!

We stayed at this house several years ago and it was in pretty good shape;however, this year we found that it was in desperate need of a lot of repairs. It simply looked like nobody has taken care of it for 3 years. The kitchen was not well stocked with enough silverware for a family of 5 and missing common items such as baking sheets. The best part about the house is the stocked beach equipment room. It is so nice to have the chairs, umbrellas, etc. provided...saves a lot of space in the car!!

Since I was traveling with a 10 month old baby, I called ahead of time to be certain the house was clean and ready. I was told by EI Realty staff that the house was ready and available. When I arrived at the house, I was there before the cleaning crew. They did a "very" quick 15 minute cleaning and said they were done. The first thing I noticed was how nasty the house was. The carpet was brown from the dirt. The couch was filthy. Dust was hanging from the ceiling and the vents above. Then as I looked up, I saw bugs on the ceiling-more than a few. I have pictures that I took with my camera phone.
I had to leave the house for the night and was unable to return until the next day at 1:00 p.m. after it was deep cleaned and the bugs were exterminated. This incident was quite stressful for someone with a small baby. I recommend that you spend the money to hire more people on your cleaning staff so they can spend more time cleaning each house properly before each stay. It is impossible for them to clean each house very well when they are required to clean so many in one day.

Great location, great porch and views from table.
I have a list of things that need improvement:
-Beds are very uncomfortable
-shades in bedrooms don't block out afternoon sun and raise the temp in the place to uncomfortable-needs curtains over windows
-need new frying pan(s)-the ones we had were old and scratched
-knives need sharpening-couldn't cut a lime with any of the knives available
-spaces around doors and windows-looks like construction done but not finished?
-bug man came while we were there-should have them scheduled on saturdays between check-ins
-would not recommend this property to friends

The check in was quick and easy and the staff very friendly.
The house was just as described. The house was well equiped and clean. It suited us well.
We wanted to be very close to the beach.Enjoyed sitting on the porch early in the morning to sip our coffee and look out on the ocean for dolphins. The house was well equiped and clean. Would not consider one that did not have a porch as we spent a lot of time there when not on the beach.

We have stayed in this house for quite a few years, we like the close proximity to the beach. I tend to burn easily so it is very convenient for me to sit on the covered porch and still watch the family building sandcastles and pop down on the beach now and then. I don't feel that I am that far away because the house is close to the beach.
I get to enjoy the ocean and be close to the family.
